Kinda late for me to be commenting here (been lurking since Nick was arrested) so I have a few things to say.

First - glad for Amber and Ancani that their ordeal is pretty much over. After Nick's trial, Amber will likely never see him again. As for Ancani, now she doesn't have to worry about Nick making these godawful "wife" posts.

Second - part of me wishes that he had access to the internet in jail, just so he can see how much people rejoice at the fact that he's in prison.

Third - I love that picture of him they posted in the article of his arrest. He looks like he knows that he has truly dun goofed and that the consequences literally will never be the same.

Fourth - like many here I can't help but wonder how Nick's time in prison is going and if he's made any new "friends" and if he's smearing shit on the walls of his cell. I truly feel sorry for whoever had to intake him (overseeing/having him strip his street clothes and shower) that can't have been fun.

It does warm my heart to know that Nick is now cut off from the things he enjoys like TMBG and so on. I hope that his cat has been given a loving home though.

You would think that kiwis, of all internet denizens, would know by now not to feed trolls.
I don't think they realize he's an edgelord troll that null made staff to piss people off. They probably think he's a real person with an ideology like Nick or Holden.

But don't worry people : @DNJACK is completely harmless.... And a tad chubby with this latest feeding. So please, follow his diet and cut down on his meals.

Of course that also means his fellow inmates will probably be (if they haven't already been) subjected to long nights of hearing his crying and screaming "aboot" Wife for years to come. To add some more salt to the wound, if and when Anna marries her True and Honest Sweetheart, someone should send him an extra copy of their wedding album just to mentally break him even further.

What happens to inmates who smear their poop on the walls repeatedly? I think they'll have their hands full (no pun intended!) trying to deal with Nick and getting him to stop doing that.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for Joyce or not -- on one hand, she totally enabled him, but can you imagine how much work that apartment is going to need before it's fit to be rented out again? He pissed all over the place, he smeared his shit on the walls -- the stench is going to take ages to go away. (And I hope the appliances don't come with the apartment. Jenkem in the oven?!?! Isn't that stuff an urban legend anyways?)

Don't forget that he also had a cat, which I assume he never kept up with either. All that ammonia... (:_(

Had a friend who lived in an apartment with a guy who lived kinda like Nick (hoarded cats, had piss everywhere; had his toilet overflow and never got it fixed so shit was everywhere all the time). Apparently the person who rented out the apartment finally got them out and it took 5 months of constant construction people in there to tear apart the apartment and then fix it.

I'm assuming this is the plan. They won't just clean it... they'll completely remodel it ... hopefully. I really hope some poor single mom barely making it through isn't forced to live there because it's the cheapest spot in town.

Meanwhile in Lancaster -- I kind of hate Lancaster Online and don't want to give them the clicks, but that is the website to look at in order to see several off-topic but related articles -- it's been hot and muggy for a week, and temperatures inside the jail are reportedly in the 90s, fraying the nerves of guards and inmates alike. When some kind of supply goofup changed the sandwiches (normally a slice of cheese, like a Kraft Single, and two slices of meat -- the cheese got taken away, and inmates apparently really hate change), inmates started yelling out the (barred, high off the ground) windows to passersby for help. (Yes, the ventilation is that poor that if the windows are not open right now, the inmates will overheat and potentially die, and this is Lancaster, not Gitmo, so they do realize what a PR problem that might be.)

Result: On Friday night, I think it's this coming Friday, there is going to be a protest outside the Lancaster jail advocating for better conditions for inmates. I have no idea whether Nick was one of the ones yelling for it, or even knows about it, as I have no clue whether the segregation unit would have windows. I do think it would be funny as hell if a protest happened at the jail while Nick was there and he never knew about it. A woman who posted in the comments to the article about the protest said that she had been in the jail before for some minor offense and could confirm that the conditions were awful, including shit being thrown at people, but implied that her situation/debt paid to society/whatevs had been some time ago. So if she is lucky, the poor thing never met Nick. Otherwise, I recommend not reading the comments, because many of them are along the lines of "So what if people accused of something and awaiting trial roast to death in their cells? Due process is for bleeding hearts, amirite? They should have been richer and able to afford bail if they wanted vaguely edible food!"

Poor Shyer. I hope someone manages to take him in. It's not his fault his owner was a sicko.

(I hope it doesn't sound sperg-y, but it would be kinda cool if there were an organization or something that took in pets of felons, so they didn't have to be punished for what their owners did. Sorry, I'm a cat person)

This may have been said before, but let's pray together that Nick didn't experiment on the cats.
EDIT: To be honest, he most likely didn't, but the cats still had it rough living in a hell hole like that anyhow.

I kind of question that since he's been arrested. He did mention his sexual neutrality towards the cat out of the blue for whatever reason. I don't recall the exact quote, but someone surely has the twitter cap. (:_(

I think he said something along the lines of "I love my cat, platonically" and in the old thread, we had a giggle fit for a page or so laughing at the fact that he had to mention that specifically.

yooo do you live in Lancaster or know more about the jail stuff? i think that's really interesting.
pretty sure that if he could, nick would be shouting with them. probably can't if he's segregated tho, yeah.

nicks family is generally horrible with animals. they've gone through quite a few cats, and often you can see they have fleas or patches of something on them if you look at pictures/videos. ironic because Nick's mom lives on/runs a farm with horses.
awhile ago there was a video on YouTube of the news in PA with Nick's mom talking about her horses getting sick, i don't remember what her name is or when it was from, but i remember that happening.

If there were patches, it was probably mites. It's common with poorly cared for animals, especially smaller ones.

Nick has two Facebook accounts. These updates were from 2010/2011.

The mods are rightly concerned about self-doxing, so to avoid power-leveling too much I'll just say I do live in the same county, and I have driven past the jail. (To my knowledge, I have never been to the town of Washington Boro, at least not on purpose. I do know where Penn Manor High School is -- that's the one Nick failed to fail out of.) There was an aerial photo (I think?) of its goldfish-castle façade earlier in the thread that actually makes the front of it look bigger than it is. But up close, it's tiny, which makes the "castle" part on the front look even more ridiculous -- it looks like forgotten infrastructure for a medieval-themed kiddy park on the edge of town (not the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, which is right over the border into an adjacent county). I can easily understand how an itsy-bitsy jail like that, housing both people who are serving sentences for low-tier crimes and people who are merely awaiting trial, could rapidly become overcrowded.

The hot weather in the county has broken, however, and it's been thunderstorming for about two days. I have no idea if this will make any impact on the planned protest or not, but it was only supposed to get up to 55 degrees (I wore a hoodie to the doctor) so that may have reduced the overheating somewhat -- and although I do care about the safety of whoever has to live or work inside that teeny jail building, even if I were super-passionate about the issue, I can see myself finding better things to do than standing in the rain on a Friday night. (Also, it's going to be First Friday, and people will therefore be hella drunk. I can see a hypothetical protester finding better things to do than standing in the rain on a Friday night getting empty bottles of Rolling Rock flung at them from passing cars.)

While I was on Lancaster Online (again, I hate giving them clicks because the editorial staff and commentariat would be absurd if they weren't real live human beings, but that's where all these articles are if you must), I did see something that made my heart kind of sink for Amber. A man was convicted of sexual assault of a child -- I think she was less than 10 -- and got 23 months. You can literally get more time in that for pot possession in this state, thanks to mandatory minimum sentencing (which judges hate too, because it doesn't allow them to consider mitigating or aggravating factors). But 23 months for the sexual assault of a kid. I mean, goddamn. If I were her parents, I'd be making plans to move out of state. Maybe across country.

That would be this guy. Sorry, it's a link to Lancaster Online. There were also CP charges in there. This was after a guilty plea. I certainly hope Nick doesn't get off this easy.
