I'm quickly scrubbing through old video trying to learn who these people are, Joel is the totally "not" gay one who brings up musical theatre a lot but he appears in a few videos after he left as a guest and they all seem to have a genuine friendly rapport. And not just there but on twitter as well.

I recommend looking through the RT subreddit since there's a lot of discussions about it, both Joel and RT never gave specific details as to why he was let go, but considering some of his political stances he's said on social media caused a lot of fans to be mad in the past, and with how obvious the rest of RT's political views are, it's safe to assume that's the main reason. Apparently they also stopped listing him as a co-founder in the months leading up to it on their stuff, and here's a screencap of him responding to the question of if he'd miss being at RT.

I've got to admit, I haven't followed anything Rooster Teeth in over 5 years.
I'm now just combing over the Twitter accounts from the Funhaus guys and I've never made such a 180 on good memories over posts on Twitter.
Some of these heavy political posts have the replies completely shut down and the quote tweets are all negative.

I don't know if I'm the only one who feels like this is something I haven't seen in a while. It seems like old-fashioned e-celeb political pandering.

You're getting mixed up. When people are referring to the Joel that was fired for having libertarian beliefs, they are referring to Joel Heyman, one of the co-founders of Roosterteeth.

You're getting him mixed up with Joel Rubin, whimsical musical theatre enthusiast and Inside Gaming/early Funhaus manager who (seemingly) amicably left Funhaus of his own accord in 2016 to pursue different challenges, and is currently a VP of Programming at some LA production company IIRC

The only gaming stuff would be side material.

I don't follow Funhaus, but if Rooster Teeth was able to sweep Kick Vic under the rug then they can definitely do the same with this. The vast, vast majority of people who follow Rooster Teeth don't give a flying fuck about the Vic situation. I imagine it'll be the same with this.

For those who don't know, Rooster Teeth basically has two audiences- and they hate each other. There's the Reddit/RoosterTeeth.com fanbase, which agrees with the RT personalities on everything and follows them on Twitter. They tend to be left wing and PC. Then there's the YouTube audience, who only follow the channels casually. They tend to be moderate normies who are indifferent towards Trump and don't support Black Lives Matter. They only care if the videos are good, and will mass flag them if they aren't. Of course, this means that they are almost universally despised and viewed as toxic by the hardcore Reddit fags.

Despite all of this, even the YouTube audience doesn't really give a fuck about RT employees being a drooling retards when it comes to politics or Vic Mignogna getting slandered because they like the videos too much. Sure, they'll mass-dislike and spam bullshit in the BLM donation streams when they come up, but they won't really pursue anything beyond that.
