There was reason to be concerned in April. The death rate for people infected then was pretty high but that was mainly because it was new and doctors didn't know how to treat it effectively.
Oh and Cuomo shoving infected into nursing homes didn't help at all. Funny how Cuomo is still praised for his response when he's more directely respoinsible for killing people with Covid than Trump ever has been.

Cuomo and de Blasio encouraged people to go out and mix in with large crowds in February solely to own Orange Man because he shut down travel to Chinkland despite the fact people infected with chinkflu were already showing up in ERs all over NYC. The extreme lockdowns threw everything into further chaos and the nursing home decree was the icing on the shit cake. All that ranting over ventilators when there weren't enough people certified to operate them and the absolute useless bureaucracy that prevented the hospital ships and army hospital being used were nice amuse-bouches. I hope both are indicted and tried for gross negligence and malfeasance.

The guy's probably not very contagious to begin with, Clearing a route in and out is simple once it's planned out - And it would have been done once already when he first went in. Leaving the hospital for what, 15 minutes? In a car that will turn right around and haul ass back if needed is probably equivalent to finding out the call button in the room is broken. He's not in such terrible shape that that short a time is a big thing.
And with the media running around , Implying that the reaper himself might be out in the waiting room playing solitaire (An anonymous source says a horse that might be Binky is tied up to the hitching post in the parking garage!) while the last few grains of sand dribble through the hourglass. A quick drive-by and wave is about the only way to say otherwise that won't be refuted with "Well of course the doctors say whatever they're told! He could die in five minutes!".

Trump used to be an investor in Regeneron, and he also signed in a law allowing individuals to access treatments which aren't yet approved without enrolling in a clinical trial.
Even if his recovery has nothing to do with his treatment protocol, the companies who produce the individual components stand to gain immensely.

Trump taking experimental drugs or whatever could just be a sign of him wanting to be done with it quickly, as opposed to more conservative treatment over longer period of time. It would be very much in character for this guy.

If I recall correctly, he was originally supposed to be a positive, laid back meme god to counter WBC hateful propaganda. When WBC died off, he decided to get hyper political and become the very hateful image that he was made to counter.
Maybe if they could actually play the full clips of what he says, instead of snipping his comments so out of context it's practically chopped up soundboard you'd have a point.

It's too late to swap out the candidate on the ballot in most states. If you're asking what would happen if Biden wins the election despite being dead or dies shortly after winning: it would be up to the electoral college to pick a president and vice-president. Most of the Biden electors would probably cast votes for Harris and whoever she recommends as VP but some of them could be prevented by state laws from voting for someone other than who won their state's vote (Biden) or decide to wing it and vote for Bernie or someone else. If no one gets 270 electoral votes, then the House of Representatives has to decide but it's 1 vote per state delegation so it could very well swing Republican in that situation even if they aren't the majority.

Also, hermetically sealed yes, but probably with the ability to isolate different compartments and some state of the art air filtration systems. I mean yes, it’s a risk, but what was supposed to happen instead? If the doctors discharged him, was he supposed to just stay at Walter Reed?
I wasn’t a huge fan of different standards for different presidents when it was the Republicans doing it, either, so why would I be now?

Not sure about your part of the world but where I am commenting on a patient like that, regardless of them being your patient or not, would be enough to get you a slap on the wrists at the least. If you’ve got MD in your Twitter handle you need to be very careful what you’re saying about identifiable individuals.
