Basic problem with the masks is that people don't even use them right. They keep touching things then their faces and readjusting the masks, so the benefit of any sort of mask is diminished. Fauci stated this early on in a 60 minutes interview and I suspect he backtracked more because much of the world latched onto this idea they could stop the virus completely by using masks due to desiring SOMETHING OR ANYTHING to help them pretend they could stop the virus.

You had videos of the Chinese getting teams of people to spray disinfectant all over a street, when just a couple people coming in after and coughing in the area would pretty much do away with any benefit that had. Which is the sort of action that I suspect made other nations feel like they had to show they wouldn't be out done.

We could see the Chinese would do things like going into some student dorms and throw everyone's shit into the courtyard so they could use the rooms for hospital beds that they may not have even used (even though they'd still need someone to pick up those things and could have had the students even just take their things back). Similarly, places like New York demanding hospital ships they didn't even seriously use. Just a load of symbolic actions to keep the fantasy going that the governments were doing something to stop anyone ever dying.

But a lot of the worst problems we've seen probably come from officials in governments and groups like the WHO not wanting to imagine that China was incompetent. They figure China is overpassing other nations and look past how they were shoving people into hospitals with water dripping from lighting fixtures or shoving people into glorified warehouses without medical equipment around. So have governments trying to copy actions of a country run by psychopathic authoritarian bureaucrats.

Don't forget the time when the Chinese were locking people in small, windowless metal boxes mounted on the back of pickup trucks.

The president's own medical advisor has been adamant about mask-wearing and social distancing, so if you're gonna take anyone's word, take his.

Let's be honest, most the people that die from COVID are already on their way out. I believe that when we look at the yearly mortality rates or even average the mortality rates for 2020 and 2021 it will show a marked decrease in deaths from heart disease, diabetes, cancer, compromised immune systems, and old age.

That's because all those that should have died from the aforementioned diseases just died of COVID instead. Did COVID kill them a few months, perhaps a year, sooner?

Probably. But we are destroying the entire world for these people. If such people need extra precautions, fine.

What really kicked this year into the year of the clown was the medical and scientific community reaction to those fucking riots worldwide. I googled dexamethasone and every description I read made it sound like a pretty standard a anti inflammatory with standard side effects like upset stomach and trouble sleeping.

I love the Dexamethasone fearmongering. Is not tylenol, but it's not chemo either, and it's certainly not the cure worse than the disease they are making it out to be. People regularly go on months long treatment schedules of it under their own supervision.

It's like the most general steroid for anti-inflammation. It has its risks like most prescription drugs, but nothing that makes it too dangerous to give a person a script for 60 and see me in a couple of months

Most of the deaths in western nations are in nursing homes. In Australia and Canada around 80% of all reported deaths are nursing home patients. Even then it's debatable whether they're dying from Covid or with it. Many reports of nursing home patients being transferred into hospitals severely malnourished and dehydrated, uncared for as the staff in facilities are all sent home when outbreaks happen. When a 90 year old end stage dementia patient passes away having not been given even basic care for days if not weeks, it's automatically chalked up to the coof as long as there's a positive PCR test.
