Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

Ah, apparently she just filmed herself and didn't edit it with the Ragen original. Somebody else put it on Youtube Doubler with the original, but I guess Youtube Doubler isn't a thing anymore? This is the skinny dancer, maybe if someone knows the original they can link it for comparison.

Although this post might belong in the Ragen Chastain thread.

ETA: Here is the original Ragen dance.
Oh good lord. It's as bad as I imagined. Thanks for finding it.

Holy fuck you were self-conscious about your body as a teen?! That literally never happens to anyone, much less everyone! Thank god you gained a couple stone and dyed your hair a grotty orange, you really dodged a bullet there. Mighta almost sort of maybe possibly could have ended up with an eating disorder!!

Luckily you didn’t just slam it into reverse and start piling on the pounds from stress-eating at uni because the coursework was far more than you could handle. You look so much healthier now, sagging out of your clothes with an unconvincing rictus grin while posting daily affirmations in your undies that you do not, in fact, hate what you’ve become.

She says she spent years trying to fix a body that was never broken. I'm not questioning that; too many girls & teens are unhappy with their bodies for some reason - it's almost a sad rite of passage in some societies & cultures & we all know it can lead to eating disorders & other manifestations of poor mental health.

Let's be real - if we're so inclined, we could all strip down, stand in front of a mirror & point to areas of our bodies that we don't like. Part of growing up is learning what you can 'fix', through proper diet, exercise & weight management & learning what is simply bad luck in the genetic lottery.

Going to the other extreme & refusing to deal with real body issues that ARE manageable through diet, exercise & proper self care is frankly, nuts.

Yes, her body is her 'home' & no doubt doing its best. It's foundations may be strong but even the strongest foundations weaken when subjected to negative stresses over time.

What she's doing is akin to treating a small child in tyrannical, horrible fashion, then trying to make up for that by spoiling the older child rotten. You end up with a confused young person & the results may prove horrible.

If she values her body as much as she claims, truly cares for "it", time to put up or shut up.

The rapid extreme weight gain is obviously disturbing and deeply unhealthy, but the pumpkin-colored hair with terrible bangs and ugly glasses on her doughy noggin make it 1000x worse. This chick can't handle being remotely attractive and prefers to repel others with telltale SJW styling and accessories, like a less crazy version of that multii person. She is just sad.

Don't hate on the bangs. The bangs were the best decision she's made in years. Look at the massive forehead on the 'before' picture and tell me she wasn't screaming for bangs.
The bangs would be perfectly fine if she learned how to cut them properly. As it is, they're ragged and uneven, and look like they were cut during a crying jag with those blunt plastic scissors made for small children. It also doesn't help that they're too short, and that she doesn't know how much hair to comb forward, or from where, to get good bangs. She also needs to learn how to style them just a bit, so they don't end up looking lank and greasy. All of that would help tremendously.

Unfortunately, it still won't be enough to overcome the horrible color; her hair and complexion are naturally cool-toned, and the manky orange hair and pumpkin-spice/ mustard-yellow colors she's been favoring for the last year are the antithesis of flattering on her. As bad as she looks, they make her look even worse.

Are there any actual studies showing fat being more healthy than commonly perceived or is this a 100% asspull?

There are no studies I know of showing that a BMI of 35+ is healthy. There are some studies about better surgery recovery outcomes for people who are overweight versus those who are nearly wasting away (think underweight elderly women with osteoporosis), but that's very different, of course.

If anything, women in FA do themselves a major disservice by ignoring abdominal fat's significant contribution to female cancers (among many other cancers and diseases). It's serious: https://journals.lww.com/ajnonline/...y_Related_Cancer_in_Women__A_Clinical.27.aspx

Celebrating obesity is empowerment and celebrating weight loss is violence. Reject health, embrace progress, bigot.
War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.

There are five lights.

Keep repeating falsehoods until they become true, the basis of any good brainwashing cult.

She is 100% the posterchild for “stupid girl wants to go from brown to blonde hair, slaps a box bleaching kit on without realizing it’s going to lift from brown to brassy orange because weak box bleaches are rubbish and you need serious muscle to lift straight from medium brown to blonde in one go, and instead of getting it fixed at the salon with a toner/fill in dye job, she instead claims she “likes this color actually!” and sticks with it rather than set foot in an establishment that will tell her how stupid she was and charge her quite a bit to fix the damage.

Raise your hand if you’ve known a girl just like this and tried to warn them beforehand, only to be ignored. I have both hands raised. We all had that friend who tried to go blonde and ended up orange, then tried to laugh it off as the orange being “kind of a fun color actually!”

But at least they always slunk off to the salon for a fix a few weeks later, having realized what everyone everywhere knows, which is that brassy orange looks hideous on every human being. I have no idea what this cow’s excuse is.

She went from looking like an awkward teenager trying to dress “cool” to looking like that same teenager’s crazy auntie who’s universally dreaded at family functions in record time. Still constantly struck by Bekah’s complete inability to smile in a way that doesn’t make her look like she’s in pain.
