Abel is still just as stupid as the day he was not-convicted.
There are two TIs, existing contracts and prospective business relations.
Prospective business relations requires an underlying tort, like defamation. He's right on that one. The defendants very likely slide out of that tort.
Tortious interference with an existing contract does not. The act of interfering with a contract, even if the underlying act itself is not itself tortious, is the tort.
This also gives me a little more clarity. Some part of me is projecting the myself onto them, and assuming they've read up on how the law works and are familiar with the facts of the case, but they arrive at the conclusion that Vic did everything wrong. And I keep thinking to myself, I wonder what fact or knowledge of law do they know that I don't that they arrive at that conclusion? And I google-fu, trying to find an answer.
Then I realize they simply don't know anything.
As Nick once put it, Able is disabled.
It's also funny about how they're going after Uncivil Law. I saw him in Nick's chat a few weeks ago. He chatted something to the effect that "I think Vic will lose on appeals, sadly." He agrees with them, but they still pounce on him.

I've been to somewhat large conventions where there were staff members at the elevators to do 2 jobs. One was the make sure that the elevator didn't get overloaded and shut down and the other was to see if the individuals had a wristband that signaled you had a room at the hotel. There have been issues of people sleeping in the halls and other debauchery because conventions are conventions (the number of minors that I've seen try to be invited to an adults room and refuse to accept "no" for an answer is surprising).
