To be fair, he could've worded that better. "Take Covid seriously, follow the precautions, but don't live in fear!" And then point out he's been consistent ever since the thing started, including that "secret tape" where he says "downplay" instead of "don't cause a panic".

Even so, everyone who isn't a TDS sufferer, a news headline writer, or an algorithm manipulator knew what he was trying to say.

At this point in America there are three types of people in regards to Trump. People who have Trump Derrangement syndrome who have been a ball of fun since 2015. People in the middle no strong feelings either way. And conservative youtubers who mock lolcows on the left and people with tds only to become lolcows when defending trump on everything and not being able to take a joke or reconise when being mocked ex Paul Joesph Watson.

IIRC Carvey once said that he based his entire impression on Bush I off of the idea that Bush was a happy nerdy-type guy who was just happy to be President, because he didn't know anything about Bush I personally and was playing it by ear the entire time and was shocked that it overshadowed pretty much everything else he did on the show.

The bit with Kamala was SNL positioning her as the "grown up in the room", implying she'll be running the show and that Biden would basically be her puppet and that he treated her like his mommy and needed her to tell him what to do due to his age and implied dementia.

Also, the bit with Antifa was a weird one in that they didn't actually fucking out out of their way to shill Biden's BS talking points. Just muted Trump as if to say "we don't want to even touch that subject with a ten foot pole (probably because SNL knows that the public finds antifas to be monsters 100% responsible for the violence over the summer, along with BLM and only allowed Baldwin/Trump to mention it because they kind of had to.

The only difference is that while Colbert does it to pay off his sister's debts from her failed vanity run for Congress Podesta bankrolled to ensnarl Colbert, Oliver does it for free because he's a true believer of the anti-life gospel.

My dad is pretty well convinced that Trump having COVID is a hoax for “the sympathy vote”. Now that Trump’s apparently back in the White House he’s absolutely certain about it.
Downplaying COVID is a conspiracy theory I could buy believing. But “sympathy votes”? Who the fuck would vote for someone because they feel bad for him?
It’s all just so tiresome at this point, man.

Good god haven't watched SNl in years show sucks then again for every good era there is bad after with them. As for late night they are dieing a slow death of irrelevancy with the only likable one Conan only gets attention for his bad at Vidya skits. Love Dana great comedian makes fun of people who hate trump much respect.

Trump is back in the White House? Is this confirmed? If so that’s great. I hope he lives at least another four years, the chaos his presence causes is just too good to end now.
