In a way, Trump saying "Don't let it control your life" is a genius political move. It might come across as a "sloppy" way of phrasing things, but I think the choice of words was very intentional.
The media, the Democrats, and especially Joe Biden (his opponent), are screeching and hollering over this sentiment. It's as if they DO want COVID-19 to "control" our lives; that they DO want us to cower in absolute fear, misery, isolation, and dependency on the government to "allow" us to go outside again.
Joe Biden literally addressed the words "Don't let it control your life" with disapproval. Trump can now easily use this as ammo for his campaign. "Look at how miserable the country is because of these lockdowns; the Dems don't want you to live your lives normally again! But they don't mind if rioters and looters go outside to terrorize everyone, though!"
Once again, TDS is just giving Trump more material to work with. And the people with TDS lack the self-awareness to notice.
I hate looking at Steve Blum's social media. He is such a sperg and a soyboy. "Hope you find your soul" is cringey, it's passive aggressive (and passive aggressiveness is always an absolute bitch move), it's the opposite of being kind, and ultimately ... It's fucking projection.
It's a sad time when you see that Spike Spiegel is actually a bitch and a Karen IRL. Damn.

To be honest Steve Blum is just a sad man who can never really do anything to top Spike Spiegel given he just uses the same voice for all of his roles and is trying to be relevant through politics.

I don't worship Sarah Palin or anything; she is beyond damaged goods politically after she stepped down as Governor of Alaska. I would even argue that Palin kind of damaged Alaska-- a solid red state a decade ago is now creeping into becoming a purple state. However, the way the media treated her and her family still absolutely disgusts me. I'd argue that Sarah Palin got it even worse from the mainstream than Trump has, which is really saying something.
I remember that some reporter back in 2010 or something literally bought a house next door to the Palins, and did so because he was in the process of writing an expose about Sarah Palin. Fucking sick, man.
No wonder her kids grew up to be messed up, and no wonder she and Todd split. Politics and the media broke that family. I hope her kid with down syndrome is doing well and is living a happy life, at least ... I'll never forget seeing the photoshopped pictures of that baby in a trash can, btw. I think the P word applies as well. These old fools usually pick out old fools. We're lucky that Trump is somewhat nuttier than Nixon (is that a good thing?). Aside from that, it's too stale and predictable.
I hope the Republicans after Trump forever keep ingrained in their heads the lesson that experimentation works (Trump), and I hope the Democrats catch on.
It's sometimes a good thing to try something fresh and innovative, expect progressivism, there's a time and a place for it though.

The read through of that book Christian Nation I posted earlier has no TDS (being written in Obama's heyday) but there is an unbelievable amount of Palin Derangement Syndrome on display. She's portrayed as being functionally retarded but McCain manages to magically win 2008 against Obama somehow (it's seriously never explained) and promptly dies letting her into office where she becomes a puppet for the Fox News homeschool conspiracy to turn America into an honest to God Theocracy. The sheer seething hatred for Palin is obvious in the text and it really proves that TDS didn't come out of nowhere, it had its dry run during the 'normal', 'dignified' Obama years on someone far less able to weather it than Trump.
