I'm more interested in the "accused of raping fewer people" bit myself. Dahmer's mother would start fights just to have the satisfaction of winning them, as well as (I believe) some sort of narcissistic/hypochondriac. His father was a chemist who was emotionally distance. The only time he ever showed an positive interest in his son was when baby Jeff asked what would happen if they dropped chicken bones in bleach, thinking his son was showing an interest in science, not body disposal. His parents divorced when he was in high school, his father moved & re-married, his mother (I believe) took Dahmer's little brother & moved away. As a high school senior, Dahmer basically lived on his own in a drunken stupor in his family home by himself. So, they weren't neglectful in the "no food, no clothes" sense but in the "give a shit about your child and actually pay attention to what the fuck he's doing" sense.
