Netflix, Inc. indicted by grand jury in Tyler Co., Tx for promoting material in Cuties film

Not if people stop supporting Netflix because of this. Granted they may come back or Netflix may gain new supporters. It's not easy to tell at this point.
Here's the thing about the internet.
We say it never forgets, and technically, it's true. Once you put something on the internet, it's there for anyone with the autism to find it. However, it can be buried by endless sensationalism, news, clickbait, cat memes, and more. The bad publicity for this will last until the end of the year at most, and then it's back to business as usual. The only lesson Netflix will learn is that the world is not yet ready for pedo bait and bide its time.
Yes, we can remind people every few months, but once the initial hype dies down, nobody will really care.

So is it now every American's right to stroke their genital of choice to soft core CP?

Look I know us lot in Britain are cucked af but that's something even we might have a problem with
The joke is that indictments don't usually get dismissed.

They absolutely will run a 1A defense among other defenses because strict scrutiny is stronk and they'd be stupid not to, edit: assuming this becomes an actual criminal case.

I get it's an "art" film. I get it's trying to push a message. And I get that sometimes art is used to push boundaries.

But this movie was just in bad taste. We don't need to see fucking 8 year girls being sexualized in movies and any guy who's praising it or saying we don't get it is secretly a pedo.

It's not murder if it's justified, that's just killing.
if we lived in the fourth dimension and you killed somebody you would not be killing one person but every instance of that person in every moment in time. meaning, if the average person live to be 70 years old and we use the smallest possible unit of measurement, planck time, you've killed that person 22075200000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times in the 4th dimension

Okay now do 5th.

I mean the film was made in France which is basically England.
You're right on that because France has a long and dubious history with pedophilia and I can give you a bit more info in that front if you want.

It stems from "Mai 68" which a pseudo revolution made by woke students and writers/philosophers.
They were against prohibiding anything and very open mentaly and sexualy.

Thoses peoples are the teachers/politician/directors of today.
You can find a lot of spicy clips from very important politician saying things like: a kid discovering sexuality with an adult is a great thing, we tend to treat pedophiles too badly etc.

In adition, most well known serial pedos in France were linked to childrens trade networks.
It's a problem deeply rooted in French Society and you can find very disgusting shit if you go back some years ago.
Like a canadian journalist that was dogpilled by the media 30 years ago because she critisized a pedo apologist.

About that whole "trying to push a message" thing...

Ever seen old novels that were basically porn about teenagers fucking, lesbians seducing straight women, Satanic sex cults, and everything else that made the good uptight folk of the day clutch their pearls briefly before eagerly turning the page? Every single one of those books got away with it by framing it as a "cautionary tale" or "horrifying descent into evil" or something like that. Every single one very loudly proclaimed that the only reason they were selling you twenty chapters of filth was that so you could be duly warned and horrified by said filth.

So let's just say that making socially unacceptable porn under the excuse that you're actually protesting against the things in that porn is not exactly the most original idea in the world, and that if you're actually aware of the trend it becomes rather transparent.

Man we really backed the wrong side in the world wars.

the whole message thing was a terrible excuse, they tried to pass it off as trying to find a middle ground from islam to mass media exploitation of children by exploiting children on screen sexually. no, youre just engaging in exploiting kids sexually while trying to assuage guilt.

Yeah I watched someone's reaction-only vid and they said it was there
jf c, pedophiles and child molesters like dax need to kill themselves or be tried and hung.

Man we really backed the wrong side in the world wars.
theres japan though, and iirc aoc in germany is 15. really ww2 was nothing but a bunch of pedophiles bombing each other.

And at least it was a novel starring fictional people.

Somewhat doubtful anything real will come out of this but then again it's nice someone is actually trying to "stick it to 'em" and who knows, maybe others will follow and we'll get a snowball effect. I'm cynical but not completely and always cynical.

And I too understand art films and pushing boundaries within art, but I'm starting to think some topics really can't be depicted or criticized through film in this way.

Happiness is a film that was able to successfully depict a similar dark topic that pushed mainstream boundaries using comedy. The film really didn't show anything; it was left to the viewer's uncomfortable imagination. This is just softcore child porn.
