I remember the "Connect the Hots" fiasco. I remember some crazy bitch started a blog called "Feminist Rooster Teeth" and kept having a meltdown everytime someone re uploaded the deleted Minecraft Let's Build video when Geoff and Gavin explain their Connect the Hots game to Ryan.

I definitely think taking it down was the right thing to do for their image, but I'm glad other people had the good sense to archive it so that we have it for posterity. I don't know how y'all took it, but even back then I found the whole "following random girls on the street" thing pretty fucking creepy, especially because Austin is a college town and the random girls they were stalking could've been anywhere from college aged to literal teenagers. So when you put it in the context of everything we currently know of going on behind the scenes at RT, it really does not paint a good picture of the people who work there.

I remember Feminist Roosterteeth too, though I honestly don't recall much about the blog itself - all I remember is that they were constantly getting shit on Twitter and Tumblr because Ray and Michael (and possibly Geoff and Gavin too?) encouraged fans to go and fuck with them. Say what you want about the blog, but it's definitely a bad look for a celebrity (e-celeb or otherwise) to use their status to get fans to harass people they don't like. In hindsight, it's pretty insane that that was allowed. Imagine something similar happening post-Fullscreen acquisition.. the fucking hell that would be raised would be unthinkable.
