Ending that ID validity extension on Election day is pretty blatant. Why even bother, considering NY is supposed to be safely blue?
It's because they don't want to see New York even trending red. The Democrats aren't just planning voting fraud to win the election, they also don't want to show that there is even a hint that solid blue states might turn red or even purple.

Of course New York is solid blue this election. What they don't want to risk is a transition to a light blue so that the next Republican nominee doesn't consider campaigning there.

Trafalgar's pollster Cahaly did an interview.

He sees:
Trump leads in MI, WI, NC, OH, Texas and Georgia.
Dead even: MN, PA, AZ
Trump win by mid 270s to 280. Meaning he expects Florida going to Trump.

A "definite Trump lead" in Michigan? Even Barnes/Baris think Trump is tied or losing the state. I wonder what he's seeing.

Reactions: the fall of man
With my doomerposting aside, I feel like the one state all the Dems are trying hard to win is Pennsylvania as Biden is constantly campaigning there and even in those cringey vote videos by celebrities they keep bringing up Pennsylvania. It feels like that is going to be the most competitive state in the election.

Might be his likely voter, but I am looking for the rest of the interview to see what he says and post chunks of it here.

Unironically, if Trump takes Michigan, its over. It has so much implications for every other Rust Belt state that it would be most likely the kiss of death for the Biden campaign.

Pennsylvania is the biggest prize and with it, Trump most likely wins NC and FL and is at 260. It also is going through the realignment, which I keep saying, but it is important because it means the Republicans are gearing to vote and the Dems are complacent.

It's also like 10 minutes drive from his basement, isn't it?

Well it takes like around a half an hour to get from Biden's house to philly so that is also true. I think Pennsylvania is the state they are focusing on the most since I believe the Dems thought it was a solid blue state before 2016.

I wonder how much this debate would affect the election?

I think people tend to underestimate the balancing role Pence plays to Trump. I still 100% believe the first debate helped Trump more than it hurt him and his blustery routine was completely necessary, but simultaneously having the cool, calm collected demeanor of a much more conventional politician ready to back him up is important to keep Trump from being too much of a wildcard to win an election.

Trump was like a hand grenade last week, except that he held onto the grenade and took everyone down with him. I guess that he "won" the debate though, as he was the one who got a post-debate bump in the polls (as slight as it was). I think that Trump's goal in that debate was to rattle Biden, and it worked (to Biden's admission, even).

Pence was like a sniper tonight. Laser precision. There is zero question that he won the debate tonight.

Pence was so good tonight that I'm actually looking forward to voting for him in 2024 ...
