Since I don’t know anything about gay laws, do these “you don’t have to disclose you are HIV+” laws differentiate between those taking PrEP and not? What about those with full blown AIDS?

They vary from state-to-state, so I couldn't tell you on all of them. But using CA as an example, it's still illegal in some situations to infect someone with HIV, but the caveats make it effectively impossible outside of outright malice. Basically, you have to know you have it, act with intention to infect, take no precautions to prevent it, engage in actions that are likely to transmit it, and fail to make the other party/parties aware of it. If you succeed in transmitting it, it's a 6 month maximum sentence; if you don't, it's a 90 day maximum. So even if you somehow make it through all those qualifiers to get a conviction, it still isn't really a severe penalty. I don't think the law is really used that much, honestly, but I'm not really in a position to know.

Putting this here. If Whitmer hadn't acted like a Nazi with this "house arrest" doubt anyone would have wanted to kidnap her. Believe kidnapping Whitmer would have been stupid anyway. Could have seen other things, instead.

Now, in a logical world, Whitmer might wonder just why someone, or a group of someones, would have wanted to kidnap her. She might have examined her actions, maybe talked to close friends/confidants. Whitmer might have made some changes. Here, most unlikely. "They caught the bad guys and I'll just keep doing as I please!" Okay.
Observation - law enforcement found it reasonably easy to infiltrate this group. Doesn't always happen. Some groups are very small and very tight. And you always have the lone wolves, such as George Metesky, the "Mad Bomber", and Ted Kaczynski, the "Unabomber". If I was the governor of CA/NY/MI would be concerned about just how many others out there may be making plans for action, unknown to law enforcement. And I would ask myself if I am truly doing right for and by my people or am just masturbating on my power trip. But if I had been governor of any of these states I wouldn't have gone full Nazi in the first place.
Added: Using "social media" - REAL FUCKING SMART. Idiots. The best operations are ones planned and carried out all by oneself. Failing that, you have the smallest, tightest-knit group possible. AND YOU DON'T BROADCAST YOUR SHIT OVER SOCIAL MEDIA. These assholes need to go to jail for being such stupid fucks in the first place. You are very, very careful how you communicate.

Is it any wonder that it was easy to infiltrate this group? The fact that militias are starting to consider direct action, especially in Michigan, doesn't surprise me at all. A few militia groups have already been practicing civil disobedience here already. Does anyone remember that one barber in Owosso who reopened his barber shop in May? There were several militia members guarding the shop to prevent the police from shutting it down. There was also the reopening protests at the state Capitol, where everyone was freaking out about protesters entering while open carrying (BTW the Capitol Commission ruled that guns could still be carried on premises). This should be a worrying concern for these governors, but with the way they've acting, they would probably tighten the restrictions before they would ever admit fault.MSN News said:

Considering that there are probably no shortage of people who fantasized about doing exactly what they were planning (some of whom are probably on this site), I can believe that a half-dozen or so would get together on social media with a retarded plot that had no chance of actually working. I suppose you could argue if that qualifies as a "credible" threat, but the idea of it doesn't really seem that far-fetched.
