Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Luna’s intracranial pressures must be insane. Her eyes are always sunsetting. Apparently it’s a sign of a failed shunt. It’s true that she shouldn’t be alive. Which makes her mother’s delight over her “not needing” pain meds all the more disturbing.

I'm not sure if it is more or equally horrifying that the person responsible for Luna's condition is already pregnant again.

I came across this article and it makes me mad (on the internet). Lady, you were dumb enough to leave your then nine-month-old in the bathtub and he drowned. As far as she should be concerned, that was "God's decision". But no, she dun fucked up good, so now she wants her baby to be the next Jahi and forced to keep his heart going until enough organs fail that even the ventilator won't help anymore. *sigh*
I've been somewhat following this one.
Mom left a 10 month old baby in a tub while she went to get a towel.
Apparently, she had to drive across town for that towel, because the baby was in that tub for at least ten minutes, face down.

People are theorizing that mama and daddy are facing neglect charges and jail time if the baby is taken off life support, so this is a way out for them.

I'm certain that she's still in pain. They're just saying she doesn't need pain medication because she's past the point of even being able to express pain. Really sad. We know she's suffering, while mom is in deep denial.

They should be facing charges no matter what happens, especially since ten minutes is not an accident. Nor should they get free handouts (government or otherwise), and the state of Texas shouldn't have to pay money to keep a corpse "alive", either.

There is no excuse for leaving an infant unsupervised in a bath for even 10 seconds. If you don’t have five minutes to give an infant your full undivided attention for a bath, then no bath. It’s simple.

The “don’t ever leave an infant unsupervised in a tub of water” is like one of the five totally inflexible rules that is drummed into every new parent’s head. If your infant drowns in a bath tub you are shitty, awful, negligent parent, end of story.

I’m sure they are keeping the baby on life support to try and avoid a negligent homicide charge and to make it look like they give a shit.

Another day, another round of useless interventions that only benefit Ms Empath's ego.
The absolute state of this child, about 20 months old now and basically at less than newborn level.
She doesn't even have any facial expressions other than the look of horror, frozen on her face.

It's probably been answered already, but will Luna make it to adulthood? Will she even make it to 5? I don't see her lasting very long.

She probably will not make it much longer. Her disorder is progressive and her head is swelling at an alarming rate and as others has said she's showing signs the shunt has failed (it was never more then a measure akin to shoving a finger into a hole in a dike). Whats screwed up is looking at videos she does seem to have some awareness which has got to be awful. It obviously the swelling is also more diffuse because her nerves seem affected since she does not appear to have ability to close her mouth or use her tongue right according to the mothers PT post.

Saw something today that said of Americans making less than 40k a year, 40% think abortion should be mostly illegal and 30% think abortion should be totally illegal. What do we think about that? Do you think poor women are more likely to keep their taters, since it’s not like they have a real career that’s going to be derailed?

Abortion is statistically highest amongst the poor. ironically, it's also the poor who get the most upset about abortion being legal, and those people tend to have kids pretty young since many are also ignorant about contraception.

Dead baby Nick update: a judge gave them until 6PM Monday for the appeals court to review the case. A different article says "The hospital maintains that it is "indisputable medical fact" that Nick showed "signs of postmortem deterioration," court documents said, according to CNN, and that he had "developed progressive signs of organ failure, including cardiac failure."", so I don't think this corpse has much longer even with extensive life support.

Thanks phone for posting too soon.

If there are pending charges of child abuse/neglect, they'd be more severe if the baby had died.
I wonder if that has anything to do with the parents demands to prolong life support.

Oh I'm sure they're not just trying to keep his body warm just because they love him so much and truly believe he can miraculously recover. God decided the kid was dead in that bathtub last month, and I highly doubt they can keep him from rotting "all the way to the Supreme Court".

Many years ago, there was a story about a father who removed his brain-damaged son's life support, and held medical staff at bay at gunpoint until the child died. The baby was not brain-dead, but he was severely brain-damaged and they all knew he would never recover. The first link is from a medical journal, and the other is from a newspaper.

I vaguely remembered hearing that the father had since died himself, and I was correct. The parents divorced not long afterwards, and both of them had subsequent issues with drugs and alcohol, and really, who could blame them? IDK if either of them ever had any more children, besides the other two they had together.

A lot of poorer women don’t have many opportunities at education, fulfilling careers, stable relationships with BF/husbands. They usually live in crappy housing and life is a struggle. But they do have babies and raise children, sometimes many. This becomes, by a huge margin, the most important role and what they get the most social praise and acknowledgement for doing - being mothers. Being a high school school drop out, been a single mom, working at wal-mart, collecting welfare, living in a trailer/HUD project, etc...are all roles/identities society looks down upon but being a mom is celebrated.

On some level abortion feels like a rejection of what they feel is their most, and only, important and valued role in life. A woman saying she wants an abortion suddenly makes motherhood seem less important and sacred. When someone’s entire identity is tied up mostly in one role anything that makes it seem less significant is viewed as a threat and makes them feel very defensive.

Some of these poor women who say abortion should be illegal are also the moms you read about who have kids that end up dying from abuse or removed by CPS.

This is a prime example. Lena Lunsford. She killed her three year old daughter. She already had four or five kids and was pregnant with twins when she killed Alliyah. (All kids eventually ended up in foster care) This woman would never have an abortion but she killed her toddler and viciously abused all her other children. But she thought abortion was evil and all children were a “blessing”

I remember this, the little guy had inhaled a balloon, and it blocked his airway. A real accident, not parents leaving a baby in a bathtub to drown.
