More than a few commentators in this thread have mentioned stuff along the lines of: Ryan sleeping in the guest bedroom for a while now and not wearing his wedding ring.... so I'm guessing his wife found out about this shit, or some of it anyway, already? If so, imagine being Ryan realizing that he's nowhere near as smart as he thought he was and that if his wife was able to find out someone else would be too.

I can't imagine how stressful that must have been, but still... fuck him I hope it hurts.

Have to wonder if it was sudden or if the relationship was on a steep decline for a while. I can only think it was either by his incompetence that she found out, or someone contacted her direct and she confronted him about it. The whole thing has really flipped my perspective of Ryan being 'good dad/husband/' to 'lazy cunt'. I can't imagine being a vet and working my ass off all day to then go home, pick up and take care of two kids all while my husband's sitting on his ass playing video games for a living. Even worse with lockdown. Now you're home 24/7 with two kids, while your husband hides away in the spare room you were always gonna do something with and turns it into his personal man cave so he can shout at video games and sext out of shape teenagers 20 years younger and uglier than you.

No one is ever as secretive or as good at lying as they think they are. Ryan clearly got sloppy, and while I'm guessing his wife probably didn't know the extent of his dalliances, it's highly likely she was suspicious for a while given his frequent travelling and their being apart quite often. What I think really sealed his fate, though, is quarantine.

Quarantine fucked a lot of people over for many different reasons, but one big thing is that it's hard to use "work" as an excuse to go off and fuck someone else when there are lockdown orders. On top of that, his wife's hours as a medical professional (I forget exactly what her job is, but I think she's a vet) used to mean he had a lot of free time to send nudes and stuff, but since she was likely stuck at home much more often too, it meant that his space to sext teenage girls got more limited. I'm willing to bet he took or received a risky nude while his wife was home and either got caught or acted suspiciously enough for her to notice it. He seems cocky enough to sincerely think he could get away with that, and stupid enough to actually try it and fail.

I agree that he deserves to get raked over the coals. I can't imagine being in his shoes, and while I wouldn't wish this on most people... well, he's reaping what he's sown, so it's hard to feel bad for him. Honestly, I wish I could've seen his initial reaction to finding out his nudes had leaked, and also to the girl outing their sexting relationship when she was a minor. I can barely even imagine the reaction he must've had. I bet it was hilarious.
