Long time ago, I remember hearing about MovieBob on a site called The Escapist Magazine where he'd review old movies and comics. Didn't hear anything about him for a few years until recognizing the name with him shilling for the Cuties film. Not sure what happened to make him like this but my guess is he's probably been brainwashed with as FUBAR Marvel has gotten over the past couple of years with the whole SJW thing. Pretty sure reviewing that mess all the time has got to lead to some kinda brain damage or an unhealthy coping mechanism. That or he's just in complete denial that anything is wrong with it all because accepting that means he'd have to abandon something so close to the core of his identity.

Bob's always been like this to some degree. Way back in 2011 he made a video mocking people who were understandably angry at Mass Effect 3's ending and dismissed their arguments with stupid strawman talking points. And before that he attacked FPS games as if he were on some holy crusade, criticizing "dudebros" that played it and believing they were actively making video games worse somehow. He's always been a confrontational sperg against those he disagreed with, but it got really fucking bad around GamerGate and the 2016 election when he was allowed to have his hateful politics and stances bubble up to the surface because he was "on the right side of history" or some shit.

Robert is replying a lot about this mass flag on the memology 101 channel, I think he got spooked.

While he hasn't completely walked back, now he is talking that "IMO, I think that video has harrasssment" which is a pretty big downgrade from what he was accusing the channel of.

And I don't know if he is aware, but the stain of shutting other people's channel is something that cuts both sides, and no one comes out looking good out of this shit, because this cancel culture crap gets off hand real easy.

I'm sure he has but he's too smoothbrained to actually understand it and apply it to his life. I've said it before alongside countless other people but Gamergate would have died in the crib if all the Game Jurnos had chosen to ignore the initial Zoey Five Guys post, instead they spent a week shutting down discussion across the Internet to the point it was impossible to ignore and eventually blew up into a category 4 shitstorm. This resulted in several new lolcows being discovered and Bob getting fired because he couldn't put the damn phone down and stop sperging about Gamergate. Instead of learning to not jump into a pit of howling monkeys flinging shit at each other; his only take away was that some of the monkeys were bad and need to be exterminated.

Six years later the exact same scenario is happening where someone is spending all their time and energy trying to censor someone else and all it is doing is drawing attention to why this individual is trying to censor someone, in this case defending a movie that would be considered borderline pedophilia. If Bob could put the phone down for just a week or two this whole thing would blow over, just another one of Bobs dumb hot takes, but instead he is devoting every waking moment of his life to flagging Memology's channel trying to get it shut down and only attracting a growing crowd of onlookers wondering why a fat man is screaming about how bad some Guatemalen guys YouTube channel is.
