PAN, the National Action Party i.e. the right-wing regime you're referring to is eclipsed by the fact a large majority of Mexican industrialization throughout the latter-period of the 20th century was overseen by the PRI - the small period of time in which PAN had governmental control was due to the PRI being exposed and ran out of government offices for a litany of corruption charges and other scandals that they've since "sworn off of" - their return-to-rule throughout the early 2010's under Enrique Nieto did little but show Mexicans that the PRI was still a corrupt Hellhole; meanwhile the Mexican left had been growing for quite some time and this is a phenomena one can observe across the greater spectrum of Latin America that only reverses the further south you go due to post-modern social trends leaking in from the greater Western world, like the U.S. - liberalization touches Latin America like it did Europe in the 1860's.
As a result of the PRI's absolute clusterfuck of a political platform, the current party, MORENA, was created to represent left-wing interests and due to the sociological situation Mexico is in where wholesale areas are ran by criminal paramilitaries, the overton window of Mexican politics shifted far beyond our own; Brazil, Argentina, a couple of the other further south Latin countries, buck the left-wing trend to an extent but generally, the entire northern half of Latin America has gradually shifted into the hands of left-wing governments.
On some level, this is due to the narco-situation - in Colombia, etc. Communist paramilitaries like the FARC had worked in conjunction with cartels or explicitly were cartels themselves on the side; in Mexico, the current president Obrador (who ran on that far-left MORENA ticket) has repeatedly called for "civil solutions" to the narco-problem and can essentially be called willingly passive and complicit towards the growing narco-element of Mexican culture and politics.
Overall, left-wing regimes and institutions have a history of being propped up throughout Mexico, Central America, and some South American countries due to both their usefulness to criminal elements that've always thrived in these countries (or at least for the past 50-60 years) and because they tend to pander to a disaffected populace with catch-all slogans; combine that with the corruption, bribery, et. all latent in Hispanic politics (due to the reason I just stated) and you're ensured that these left-wing institutions are going nowhere because cartels often act as 'special interest' groups and ensure the party that's most useful to them survives.

Depending on the area/state, some churches have reopened but have 50% or less capacity and mandated distancing protocols. When my boss passed away this summer, she had a funeral, but her home church that hosted it had every other pew taped off and limited seating in the remaining pews the edges on either end to keep families separate.
For those churches with older members who are still too concerned to attend services, livestreams, Facebook Live, podcasts, and other digital methods have been embraced for people to be able to maintain some sense of spirituality.
I think it's the calm before the storm. We haven't had any major shooting incidents recently for Antifa and Allies to violently respond to. If Portland's protest leaders are still elsewhere, v&, or simply burning out after 100+ days of protesting, that could explain the lack of energy we're now seeing until something big comes to re-energize them.
Based on the current political climate and the candidates' own posturing, I'd be more shocked if the election aftermath didn't result in some sort of shitstorm.
For as long as I remember, people were told and raised to not judge people for extraneous reasons (race, color, gender, etc.) yet we're seeing things turn Topsy-turvy where people are making those same extraneous reasons the most relevant qualities in people and how they get judged now.
I hear you, fam. Most people I know simply want to get through current events with their dignity, lives, and money-making ability intact. The uncertainty all this crap is causing is quite unnerving for normies who just want to live their daily lives unscathed.
It reminds me of spam e-mail tactics where -- at one point -- spammers would register countless throwaway domains, refer to them in a spam run, and then disable them in favor of a new batch of similar domains for the next spam run.
More on-topic, it's sad to see how many people actually fall for or believe what they read in those clickbait articles -- more-so when it's someone smart enough to presumable know better. I can understand conspiracy theorist and die-hard partisan politickers being entrenched in their thoughts, but not those who used to know the difference between fact and fiction.

Again, I highly recommend checking out "Trust Me, I'm Lying", a book that is a well researched and comprehensive look into how the media is just full of shit and they are seeking money, views, and clicks more than anything else.
Also, Eric Bischoff, of WCW/nWo fame, has recently being saying stuff about how the news media is basically just Pro-Wrestling at this point, and to be honest, he's not wrong. The problem is that too many people don't know they are being worked yet.

The CCP funds (or did) heavily subsidised trips for people from the West to go visit them so they can put on a propaganda display. Some family members of mine got caught up in this, as one of their kids was doing Mandarin at school, Then, at a parents evening, their Dad found out the teacher is not employed by the school, but is instead employed and vetted by the CCP and that they're not just learning the language. This happened a couple of weeks before all the schools shut, and now said family members are homeschooling their kids, thank fuck.
