You're totally right. And what is jarring to me is that, even still, there's very little reciprocity from white people towards their aggressors. Every gay white man I know who specifically chases black guys (not nessicarily the people who just happen to interracially date) has severe problems with self-image, particularly masculinity. They've internalized that they have no masculinity, and therefore it's toxic (otherwise they'd have to admit to a pysch problem that doesn't get asspats).
