Um.. maybe you missed it but they lost several billion in stock evaluation when this Cuties situation blew up. Partly due to people canceling their subscription. Partly due to negative attention and possible legal consequences.

Netflix might not get convicted or forced to pay a fine, but having a company that has close to 80% of their annual revenue in debt have to pay unnecessary legal fees is going to hurt and might have more serious consequences than people think.

I mean, they had a huge executive shake-up at roughly the same time as the film released. So it's pretty likely that had a pretty significant effect as well. In fact, it almost certainly had a bigger effect since the move was pretty surprising to investors.

If Netflix fails it will be because of horrible mismanagement independent of this particular single bad decision. It is a horribly run company though and could easily somehow go belly up.
