Oh man, I didn't hear this earlier. I can't post the DarkDave restream because there is a lawnmower over this part, but PoemJosh has a clean clip.
Phil actually said that he is in a 'terrible financial situation', that his Paypal was empty, and that the only thing in it is the money he has been tipped so far this week, "which is basically... a couple hundred bucks, you know... which is... okay... but I need to have some funds for when I go shopping on Tuesday."

He actually just admitted that he needs several hundred dollars for his day off. He's fucking insane for saying this with a straight face.
Groceries? It's a two person household and one cat that shops for one week worth of groceries. What are they buying? And why can't Kat cover it? And if that isn't their arrangement, why can't she spot him and he can pay her back after he gets paid, a day or two after? What else are they doing that is costing hundreds? Is the mobile spending really this out of control?

This is the bankruptcy business expenses over again. He's giving a stupid number and acting like it's perfectly normal, but it's an open admission that he is burning money and lying about where it's going.
I think I might have a break coming up as well. This is a level of vile entitlement I almost can't deal with.

I guarantee you that these costs represent less than 5% of his disposable income. The real reason he needs SO MUCH cash every week is that he buys an insane amount of garbage, trinkets, collectibles, coffee makers, and of course - sweaty men jpegs.

Since Phil leaves for the grocery store first thing in the morning I think it's fair to say there is no way whatsoever he actually goes out for dinner on his days off, I just can't see him being able to be around other people, socializing and being about for a FULL DAY.

I think after grocery shopping, he and the beautiful Katherine probably go out to some sort of fast food place like Taco Bell or something and eat something for 'brunch', after which they go home, leave all their equine pellets and assorted liquor at the mansion after which they promptly leave for a luxurious late lunch at Olive Garden or Wendy's.

Phil & Kat are total white trash. They don't eat at fancy restaurants and Phil's social anxiety kicks in if he isn't the richest, smartest, most good looking guy in the room (so every time he leaves his cave) so he'll retreat as quickly as possible from public view.

I guess a lot of money could be going towards stuff like Starbucks coffee and sandwiches like he said he used to a few years ago, but I don't think he can be bothered leaving his house that often anymore and probably doesn't splurge much.

The fun part about his gambling addiction and general allergies to having money is that is metastasizes.
In fact, yeah, let's think of it like cancer. His crises have been ramping up until they reached stage 4 (Stage 4 being imminent death, in the very low chance you don't know), aka the bankruptcy. Phil gambled yet again, and it paid off, but all it did was take out the biggest tumor. The others are still there, growing, spreading. He hasn't stopped what's coming, he's only bought himself some time, and since you've been paying attention, you know he isn't using his borrowed time wisely. Still whaling, still begging, still avoiding taxes.
This is a long game, and he's stacked the deck against himself. It is coming.

He did briefly mention it when he talked about how this has been such a good year for him. I think it was during ATK.
But you're right, it'll soon be memoryholed, much like he said he had to do no fundraisers this year, but did one at the end of February. Or he'll just start to reference it as being something negative, which he has also done a few times while whining about how hard his life has been lately, with the chargebacks and having to go through a bankruptcy this year.

Phil just said that, in addition to the $1700 in chargebacks, he hasn't been mentioning it, but he has been receiving more behind the scenes. He hasn't been mentioning it, you see. For some reason. Until now. When he mentioned it.
So he held onto that information in an attempt to double down on pity begging right before his day off, just in case the '$1000 for a week of groceries' begging wasn't working.
Battlecuck just threw $100 at him during the prestream, so it's working on the braindead drones.

Phil is now addressing the XBox tweet taking a dig at him and he's explaining to his chat why it isn't slander, and why he finds it funny that they did that.

Phil sure has been liberally throwing the term “hack” (or, HAYuck, in his annoyingly scratchy and whiny voice) lately when talking about other, more successful YouTubers. It’s so hilariously pathetic. I can’t imagine the level of self-delusion and narcissism it takes to have the confidence to tell your small audience that you were the true innovator. The only honest guy doing playthroughs. The one who always stayed true to himself... and then ten minutes later talk about how back then you were a total asshole and said things you didn’t really mean just to get attention and ruffle feathers. What the hell does this idiot really believe? Does he really think that highly of himself, or is it just a front? The self-pignosis has really taken a toll. I don’t think he even knows, or at least his opinion IN ANY RANDOM MOMENT is purely based on how his chat is reacting, if he’s enjoying the game, and/or if the tips goal is being hit. I’d really love to hear a clinical psychologist’s hot take on Phil.

First one could be real, since Battleduck9000 is an actual whale, though as far as I'm aware, it's usually spelled 'Battleduck9000' (no capital D). The 'nocouture' tip seems fake to me, since it's the misspelled version of 'nocoture', the person that to my recollection has never said a word, but just sends money without a message, making that the first thing this person has ever "said".

I guess we'll hear soon enough.
