After watching a bit of Kiara finally and watching a bit of Calli and Kiara. I kinda get the feeling the whiny voice is just part of Kiara's mannerisms to some extent. It seems like part of the time, she's doing it unintentionally and other times she does it intentionally trying to be funny. Idk too much about the attention whore claims, I didn't really watch the full-on 5-girl collabs. When it was just her and Calli, I only watched a bit because, honestly the constant thirst gets a bit weird and feels forced. None of them really bother me on their own but I can see how Kiara can become really annoying really fast to some.

I get the feeling, after looking at Keekihime's twitch, she was a very small-time streamer compared to being on Hololive and she seemed like more of a cosplayer than a gamer to me so I feel like she's extremely nervous and doesn't really know how to act yet which leads to moments like "I can't revive if you eat me and shit me out." and "I'll shove it all the way up my ass."

I kinda wonder if the whole yuri thing makes Calli uncomfortable.

That being said, if Keeki ever ends up causing problems of her own accord under her Kiara identity now, well, shit. That's probably gonna end up making Demondice feel really, really uncomfortable having abided all the stuff with her, and lowkey supported it, up to that point. But let's all hope that worst case scenario never comes to pass.

If anyone's a potential controversy waiting to happen, my toss up is between Kiara and Amelia. With MAYBE Gura being a dark horse candidate despite how she's been a runaway star.

I was playing fire emblem three houses with the Japanese voices and some dialogue from Leonie sounded a lot like Marine, so I checked her VA and its an older lady named Sakura Nogawa. I haven't dug much tbh but her art on her instagram looks similiar to her art in passpartout, she has listed gaming as a hobby for years and is a talented voice actress. Any thoughts?

I still really haven’t been able to get into Amelia or Calliope. I think it’s like when HoloIndonesia did their debut and when it’s in English I realised how forced and awkward the ‘character intros’ felt, I find Calliope and Amelia really hard to watch in a similar way.

I did find this today, though, and I wish there was some place I could buy these. 4 flavors of Fubuki donuts.

I'd argue that's sort of the appeal to Calliope – that she's actually super awkward despite outward presentations and she stumbles over herself most of the time, but is sardonic enough to acknowledge that she's shit at a lot of things while still having the motivation to keep trying to succeed in spite of it. It's what gets people to start red Superchat trains in her streams , because she's almost TOO down on herself a lot of the time and people can relate to that feeling, so they want to show her that they love how she's doing things even if she's doubting herself. Plus, just straight up, old fashioned simping, let's be honest.

Amelia, on the other hand, feels forced in the way that she's trying not to outright be the actual goblin of a person that she really is. Except she's not really trying at all and her "toxic gamer" tendencies and general degeneracy kind of openly bleeds out of her by her own volition. And that's what people love about her, I think. It's alright to be a "toxic gamer" with "gross" predilections, tendencies, and vices if you're a cute 2D waifu. Amelia's pretty good at maximizing comedic appeal out of that side to her presentation as well, I'll give her that much, but her streams generally don't grab me like the others', which is why I tend to put them on as background noise if she's live.
