Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

This is a prime example. Lena Lunsford. She killed her three year old daughter. She already had four or five kids and was pregnant with twins when she killed Alliyah. (All kids eventually ended up in foster care) This woman would never have an abortion but she killed her toddler and viciously abused all her other children. But she thought abortion was evil and all children were a “blessing”

That's fucked up, but at least she was charged appropriately for it. I hope the same thing happens to Nick Torres' parents too.

why is this thread in beauty parlor? sorry if its been answered somewhere else, i've just been wondering for a while

Because women using the internet in any capacity somehow makes it belong here? Idk, its weird. Probably should be in Community watch.

Late but holy shit. Quoting from the last article listed:

"Tinslee's "life is full of misery, pain, discomfort, and loneliness," the doctor said. "She lies in her hospital bed day in and day out with very little interaction from family. The CICU team has become her family, and we experience significant distress in watching this small toddler suffer daily."

Tinslee is isolated and alone 99% of the time, except for medical staff, the court documents said."

Her family are keeping her alive and in so much pain all this time and yet they aren't even with her. They aren't doing this to spend more time with her because they can't let go. They have moved on and don't even see her as a human being, if they ever did. How much more proof does one need to show that this is selfish and disgusting and clearly motivated by something other than love.

I know I'm just stating the obvious but god those two paragraphs really got to me. To be in pain is one thing, to be in pain and alone is another.

You know it should be sad...that for all our bluster about being "king's in our own rights." "The apex species of the earth" all it takes one tiny imperfection, one too many or too few chromosomes, a hormone introduced at the wrong developmental stage, hell even our own genetic material being "spoiled." Any single small flaw when a human being is little more than a chemical reaction of cells binding then growing into living tissue..and a human can be "born" as something that won't last barley a day in the cruel harsh world. Or if it does it lives on as some miserable wretch that shouldn't even be alive or among the Lucky few that get made..."perfectly" or at least good enough.

It should be safe, tragic, a tale of our own imperfections and sorrow of being human...but it's so sad that it goes from a tragedy to a comedy. The funniest comedy of them all.

Fun fact, the reason only three chromosomes can be in trisomy and not result in miscarriage is because every chromosome has fatal alleles on it. Add a third one, and you practically guarantee expression/over expression of some bad shit.

Also why monosomy of anything but XY isn't viable. There is literally harmful alleles on every one of your chromosomes so you need two to ensure a good one.

How the hell isnt this some type of Mengele level type of cruel and unusual treatment?

If her wackjob parents had to foot even half of the hospital bill, that child wouldn't be in this situation.
It is all good for them because they get to live with their delusions while others are living with and caring for the horrific repercussions of their beyond selfish insistence on keeping this child "alive" above all else so they don't have to face icky reality.

This is the same kid whose care and resuscitation order has led to the hospital staff needing therapy.

Most XO fetuses (Turner Syndrome) are miscarried or die before term, but the ones who do survive to birth have near-normal life expectancies, although they are usually very short, infertile, and have cosmetic differences, the most common being wing-like extra skin on the sides of their necks. Some of them also have heart defects and learning disabilities, although their average IQs are just slightly below normal. The one person I have met personally who has it also has significant hearing loss, although IDK if it's because of her Turner's Syndrome.

One of my FBFs is currently pregnant with a baby that may have it. Her last pregnancy ended in a stillbirth/miscarriage at about 18 weeks, when she got an infection and they determined his heart had stopped. They don't know why, because they did analyze his chromosomes and didn't find anything unusual. Like I told her, for some reason, he did everything he was supposed to do while he was here.

BTW, sex chromosomes can be in trisomy and the person may not know it until adulthood. Klinefelter Syndrome (XXY) is not an uncommon cause of male infertility, and is believed to be at least as common as Down Syndrome. Some scientists believed that XYY led to a tendency towards criminal behavior, but that has later proven to be untrue, although they do have a tendency towards aggression and severe acne, which may have led to that erroneous idea. Trisomy X (XXX) is also not incompatible with normal life, and when I read the description of its symptoms, it was like a big flashing beacon that a woman at my church who died a while back almost certainly had it. Infertility, taller than average, masculine facial features, large hands and feet - yep, that was her. She was about 6 feet tall and said she went through her "change" at age 21 (!) but she and her husband adopted two children, and she otherwise had a very normal life that ended when she was about 80 years old.

p.s. I vaguely remembered reading somewhere that among miscarried fetuses that have been studied, they've seen full trisomy of every chromosome except #14. Even mosaics of trisomy 14 end very, very early, so that chromsome must have something REALLY nasty on it, or just plain old The Code For Life. Other people have been born with translocations (chromsomes that break off and swap places) and other anomalies, with varying degrees of disability.

Well, it took about seven years for her to finally be charged.

The cops and FBI knew 100% she had killed her daughter but they couldn’t prove it until her other kids finally got up to courage to tell their adoptive parents they witnessed their sister’s death and body being removed. They were too terrified for years to tell anyone what they saw but after years of feeling safe and secure with their new parents and having no contact with Lena they finally were able to talk about it. They are the only reason she is behind bars.

I knew I shouldn't have done an image search on that. But I did, and I deeply regret it. It's bedtime and I'm going to have nightmares now.

I mean, it's terrible that she walked free for seven years, but at least they got her at all eventually. And all of her remaining kids away from her before that happened, too. I do understand how her oldest two were afraid to tell anyone about it, too. It's tragic, but very easy for an adult to hold power over children even after being separated. Or even just older kids, sadly. But I'm glad they spoke up in the end and she got what she deserved.

The person that you know with Turner's Syndrome almost certainly sustained their hearing loss because of the TS, although probably indirectly. Turner syndrome children aren't born with hearing impairments, but their inner ears are usually misshapen which often causes them to get frequent, severe ear infections during childhood. These infections can damage the structures of the middle ear which eventually leads to hearing loss and tinnitus.

While it is true that they may have some specific learning disabilities, such spatial awareness issues(most of them are really terrible drivers), when it comes to general intelligence, most seem to be average or above average and even gifted in specific areas. Many are excellent readers and very skilled at writing. Quite a few go on to graduate college and I'm aware of a few with postgraduate degrees. . I believe the disabilities and issues that accompany Turner's Syndrome can make it seem like they aren't as bright as they really are.

The terrible thing is that usually a dying child alone in a hospital, the nurses and doctors do get attached- they spend time with them, care, and do act a little like family. But in this case, any medical worker who does that will have to participate in torturing her with resuscitation, so they're probably trying to distance themselves from her mentally as much as possible. Not that she's aware of any of this, it's just an incredible amount of stress on the people who have her as a patient.

also trisomy 14 is survivable.

you may be thinking of 18 or 13.

That article on trisomy 13 and 18 is so full of dishonesty and weasel words:
“Does ‘incompatible with life’ mean simply that they will not live beyond birth? That’s not true,” said Collins. “The median age is 10 days, and 10 days is life in a real way.”

“I believe this language is a self-fulfilling prophecy in medicine,” Char said. “So much literature has described these conditions as universally fatal, and we have let these children go for almost a generation.”
Ooo 10 days. Such life. So worth invasive painful heart surgery for.
Benjamin Wilfond, MD, a bioethicist and pediatric pulmonologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital, is a longtime advocate for broader interventions for children with trisomy 13 and 18. In 2003, he wrote a commentary for the Hastings Center Report called “Lethal Language, Lethal Decisions” to probe how doctors’ use of the word “lethal” shapes families’ choices about their children’s lives.

“We said that, often, a condition was called lethal when there were a lot of medical issues and neurological problems as well,” Wilfond said. “The idea was that if you have neurological issues and medical complexity, you call it lethal and don’t do anything about it, and then patients will die.”
Oh yeah, it's the definitions at fault here. Not that fact that they were born broken down to the very code.
Many years ago, there was a story about a father who removed his brain-damaged son's life support, and held medical staff at bay at gunpoint until the child died. The baby was not brain-dead, but he was severely brain-damaged and they all knew he would never recover. The first link is from a medical journal, and the other is from a newspaper.

I vaguely remembered hearing that the father had since died himself, and I was correct. The parents divorced not long afterwards, and both of them had subsequent issues with drugs and alcohol, and really, who could blame them? IDK if either of them ever had any more children, besides the other two they had together.

Based and tardpilled. It should have been his decision from the get go. Terrible thing is they basically forced him to put a gun up to their heads to stop his son's pointless suffering.

This looks like Pearl Joy Brown who lived to the age of five thanks to modern medical treatment and Jesus freak parents. She was on a respirator constantly so I doubt surgery was an option. Although personally it would have been amercy killing imo. If I’m not mistaken her parents finally did the right thing and pulled the plug when her organs started shutting down.
Thought this would be of interest to the group - short documentary of the Brown family 2 years after Pearl’s passing.

I never thought the Browns were lolcows - her father Eric has always been really honest about the struggles of raising and losing Pearl. In the video he mentions how there is so much support for choosing life, but little support after that choice is made, particularly when the inevitable happens and the child dies. They are fundies but I think they are also good and thoughtful people who loved their daughter.

I’m very pro-choice, but that includes allowing folks to make the choice the Browns did.

edit- fixed some typos, completed some thoughts.

I came across this article and it makes me mad (on the internet). Lady, you were dumb enough to leave your then nine-month-old in the bathtub and he drowned. As far as she should be concerned, that was "God's decision". But no, she dun fucked up good, so now she wants her baby to be the next Jahi and forced to keep his heart going until enough organs fail that even the ventilator won't help anymore. *sigh*

They ought to treat these fucking mongs like they treat Jehovah's Witnesses who let their kid die because of some autistic bullshit about transfusions. It's just disgusting how these idiot "crunchy" parts fucking tardify their children out of sheer stupidity and then the taxpayer has to pick it up.

i never understood the entire "its God's decision for my baby! he has a plan for everyone!"

regardless of religious stances, it's so dumb to me that people believe that god fucking drowned your kid.

it's clearly the parent's fault for leaving a whole ass baby in the bath tub, not some god who was like "ya lets drown this child and have him brain dead". thats why i despise the entire "everything happens for a reason" / "god has plans for everyone and it'll happen regardless" shit. this could've been prevented 100% but nah, let's blame the man in the sky.
