Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

At this point, standing in line in front of someone voting for Biden is "unlawful voter suppression".
A gas station clerk asking for ID when you buy a beer or pack of smokes is perfectly reasonable, but for voting? Racism! Voter suppression! You must hate every hispanic that mows my lawn and mops my floors!
Can someone explain to me why anyone thinks voter ID is bad? How is it voter suppression? The fuck...

The long and short is that it is perceived as a poll tax, as some forms of ID have a cost attached.

But most states as far as I am aware offer a non-driver's identification card for free. And if they really wanted to kill the issue they would just make a driver's license free of charge. Which I am very okay with because fuck paying for my driver's license every few years.

What's really stupid about it is Trump is the most pro-gay GOP POTUS ever.

You don't need the GOP qualifier. He's the most pro-gay President period. Obama entered office and spent his entire first term advocating against gay marriage, and didn't even bother to hide that he only changed his mind when his gay donors threatened to leave with their cash. "His position on the subject evolved" was the weakass argument his press team could come up with, because they didn't think it mattered. They knew (and know) that the majority of the "gay community" doesn't actually care about having their rights stomped on as long as they're stomped on by a Democrat. And of course Bill Clinton gave us DOMA, campaigned on it even... and then proclaimed his joy when it was overturned later on, heavily trying to imply it had been Republicans who were solely responsible for it.

I think Trump might be the only sincerely pro-gay President we've ever actually had, both in policy and attitude. The fact that the "queer" set would rather scream about how much they hate him and act like soccer players writhing on the ground claiming they've been oppressed shows just how much the entire gay advocacy demographic has been subverted into nothing but a Democrat campaign tool.

I did a longer explanation in the 2020 Election thread. TL;DR it's a pre-1980s stereotype of poor or uneducated people, combined with stereotyping minorities as matching that description.

Voter ID is being used by Republicans to suppress votes, but it is very telling that the Democrats have responded to Voter ID by calling for its end instead of championing free and easier to obtain IDs.

This is not an issue in most countries.

Dems don't care about voter ID but let's ask them about ID to get beer. :story:

I'm curious about the Trump family's fate after Trump's presidency. I remember someone mentioned how the media broke sarah palin's family because of the constant mockery and harassment, i hope they don't suffer that fate.

Sarah Palin's family were basically normal people who had no real way to fight back. Trump's family has the very real potential of "Yeah well I just bought the company you work for and you're fired."
