What game reviews? The guy basically stopped doing them. Havent you noticed that like every other video features him bitching that his fans want him to go back to games? Not that he understands anything well enough to be an authority.
As for his FF7 review, his hate boner for it is more contrarian and is better described as a hate for its impact rather than hating the game itself.
He hates how influential it was in the JRPG genre, and there is valid criticism to be had there. Everyone wanted to ba a cyber punk leather clad game after FF7(though if we’re honest, only the first 30 minutes could really be called cyber punk the rest is very steam punk)

FF7 is a perfect analog to Razorfist.

FF7 and the Final Fantasy series in general are extremely overrated trash and watching you fanboys sperg when anyone blasphemes against your weebery is endlessly entertaining.

It's the opposite of fetishizing deep and bloated media a la' The Last of Us 2. The idea that this is somehow purer form of fiction due to not having that much expectations and money invested in it.

Because he is simple and has a shit opinion on media. Remember he hates Nirvana and Guns and roses because its not hardcore and are just posers in his eyes.

Anyone take a gander at The Long Moonlight’s sample chapter? It’s certainly seems like something Razor would make.

My favorite parts are honestly in the first page. On one hand, describing a door as “obese” shows me he doesn’t have a good editor to rein in his weakass diction. On the other hand, I really do think he’s a decent artist. I’d be more interested in this work if it were a graphic novel, preferably with someone other than Razor as the writer.

I beg to differ.
As mediocre as he is as a writer, his illustrations leave even more to be desired. His drawing isn't fluid. His anatomy is horrendous, and his composition is laughably amateurish.

He can hate those liberal ass college art teachers all he wants. But there's a reason even Jean Giraud went to Art School.

So I read the sample chapter. I like flowery prose so I liked it, it's most definitely cheesy but that's the point. I don't know why there are so many one line non-conversation paragraphs though, also as someone whose language's alphabet has the letter 'ö' in it, it took me a few tries to try to pronounce the words like 'Göurnöth' properly.
