I am more willing to trust 9News even though they are biased (even if its just due to being a party in this event), they are putting them selves at more fault here.

BLM monsters have been involved in stealing pets and abusing them. Some vile creature who apparently pretended to be homeless stole $550 pure bred siamese and proceeded to abuse the cat. This only happened last year and somehow this monster is running free.

The point isn't the destruction of the statue, but the destruction of the culture it represents. Having the statue in storage somewhere does fuck all to address that. Maybe it could come back one day? How likely do you think that is? How much more likely is it that it gets replaced by hideous retarded bullshit, like the Nightmare Elk? Those statues aren't coming back, and the damage is of cultural significance, its not just some fancy bauble being swapped out. They know this, that is the point; and that is why it matters.

And there were several particularly vicious incidents which the TV cameras gloatingly zoomed in on. Someone in the crowd started the rumor that a book store they were approaching sold "racist" books. Within a minute or two a group of several hundred demonstrators-mostly young Whites this time-had split off from the main crowd and converged on the book store. Windows were smashed, and teams of demonstrators inside the store began hurling armloads of books to others outside.

After an initial flurry of rage was dissipated by wildly tearing handfuls of pages from the books and throwing them into the air, a bonfire was started on the sidewalk for the rest of the books. Then they dragged out a White salesclerk and began beating him. He fell to the pavement, and the mob surged over him, stomping and kicking. The television screen showed a closeup of the scene. The faces of the White demonstrators were contorted with hatred -for their own race!

Another incident in which the TV viewers were treated to closeup coverage was the killing of a cat. A large, white alley cat was spotted by someone in the crowd, who started the cry, "Get the honky cat!" About a dozen demonstrators took off down an alley after the unfortunate cat. When they reappeared a few moments later, holding up the bloody carcass of the cat, an exultant cheer went up from those in the crowd near enough to see what had happened. Sheer insanity!

When I think destruction, I think destruction. Not some limp dicked "metaphorical" destruction. It's childish nonsense that should be treated as such. If they really were something to worry about, they'd actually be reducing this shit to dust, but they aren't. Why should I care about a literal temper tantrum?

iirc it did originate from bikers, skinheads etc but they likely appropriated it because it sounds neutral (like chud) and goes with the typical gaslighting culture of purity spiral groups. It was the threat that if you stayed around too long or made a nuisance of yourself you'd find out why you're unwanted. This definition was what I learned many years ago though, so I don't know what the internet mob will claim its origins are. I hate how untrustworthy the social justice mob has made things on the internet, when they'll muddle obscure shit like the origin and meaning of something, and then try to mainstream that so it becomes the new truth.

It's crazy to me that people believe there's roving gangs of white supremacists actively destroying this country. Those allegations usually come from "experts" so I guess people just believe them blindly?

Meanwhile we have groups of people actually destroying shit behind the Antifa label or at least espouse the ideology (ACAB, Fuck 12, Anarchism). Literally one thing that might be aligned with the Right, everyone on the Right is responsible. I remember Trump was getting the blame for violence at his rallies when it was counter-protestors showing up starting shit. In 2020, those same people who started shit at Trump rallies are the same ones that will say "our peaceful protests were great, it was the outside agitators that started shit".

I don't even really care about someone's politics, it's the blatant hypocrisy that really turns me off from the Left.

You're being obtuse. Tearing down a statue is a very obvious, very visible attack on the prevailing culture. It's a technique of demoralisation, to display dominance over the culture by visibly toppling its symbols and iconography. The statue lying face down, on the ground, is a more potent symbol than a pile of fragments. They instinctively know this.

A lot them were comparing Trump supporters driving Trucks, to ISIS using trucks. Toppling statues, would be a good comparison for them.
