Currently PBS have spun of the "It's Lit" videos into a YouTube channel called 'Storied'.

Here's Lindsay Ellis introducing a video on War and Peace by a .... 'POC' who I'm fairly certain hasn't read it. If you watch it you can see her flick between her shitty takes on a book she hasn't read, and a fairlly insightful analysis which is obviously Ellis's.


She's neglecting producing regular content for her own Channel, which makes her an estimate 20k a month, to instead help dress some 'yass queen' type up as a literary critic.



She does have elements of Spoony about her. Particularly the bloody minded doubling down on every shit decision, and obvious contempt for the people that actually fund her content.

She's smarter than Spoony though. It's not just that she's better educated that he is, she is genuinely a serious intellect, and unlike with her politics doesn't rub that in people's faces. The idea of using Bay's Transformer films to explain the fundamentals of film theory was brilliant, and the videos themselves, as well as being hillarious, distilled some really complex ideas into accessible content that was just a lot of fun to watch. That series is her real triumph, not those fucking Hobbit videos (and hanging around with fucking Dan Olson) which is what I think marked the point her content started to decline.

Did she read the actual book or the 100-page abridged summary for the Americans? How often does she mention it was written by a "white dude"? That's all these YA hoes could ever say about the classic literature.

Edit: to me the turning point was her promoting "Queer Kids Stuff" patreon...
I'm sorry, but someone actually educated and smart would never support someone like QKS because she's genuinely retarded and has never even seen a child before (I hope).

Linsey is like girls with more then thousand followers on Instagram, too stupid to realize she isn't popular, that many of her twitter followers forgot to unsubscribe or just want to fuck her.

Lindsay is a bloated, drunken womanchild. Her biological clock is ringing hard which she suppresses via alcohol. Then when she’s 40+ she will try to have a baby that will cost her tens of thousands out of pocket, take a major toll on her body, and even then she may not be able to carry the baby to term. All so she can fritter away her 20s and 30s banging her colleagues and taking drunken trips to Disneyland. Liberation at its finest.
