From what I can tell, while some Sami people may possess features that look more "Asiatic" and there are genetic and obvious linguistic differences that separate the Sami from other Scandinavian/Nordic people, their skin tones are definitely light, and as a whole, I don't think they look
drastically different from other Nordic people. I know the way the (Northuldra (Sami) people in Frozen 2 were depicted had people wondering why they "vaguely resembled" Indigenous/Amerindian people, which is why I saw some articles and discussion on people saying the movie had a heavy handed message on colonization.
Kristoff was suppose to be Sami, or at least based on them and this caused a huge "controversy" with Tumblr/SJWs when the movie came out. This is how Kristoff, who was suppose to be "Sami" was depicted in the first movie:
