I'm 50/50 on it. If it doesn't go away by the time Trump leaves office in 2024 then it's here to stay until it inevitably implodes along with the rest of society on its own inconsistencies and stupidies like communism did. It probably will never go away anyway but be shoved to the background like it was back in 2013/early 2014.

Or hell, maybe it's lifecycle is like the Religious Right, just instead of us being in the mid-00s "fundies trying and failing to put creationism in the classroom" stage we're at the "fundies about to get Ronald Reagan elected" stage and we have another 30 years of this shit before it finally dies and it's FAR more powerful than the Religious Right ever was.

Too late for that, the ideology of globalism at the heart of Current Year makes sure Current Year must be spread globally, local culture be damned. And it already has, just go to Twitter and look up terms related to troons in any non-English language. Tons of Americanized Europeans and Asians out there whining about how hard being a troon is, complaining about sexy women, promoting BLM, and posting about how awful Donald Trump is.

Unfortunately in order to make any drastic changes, America will have to give up some bit of their rights. Freedom to express yourself may need to have a massive amendment that states that a person’s identity is defined by their biological attributes based on conclusive law by biologists. So a non-binary is an unsupported identity that cannot be accommodated same with non-transitional transgenderism.

That's a terrifying thought, but considering how extreme they are I don't see this just hovering in the background for decades, we're already getting down to brass tacks, the Religious Right wasn't going around physically assaulting people and burning down buildings, I expect people to reject them far sooner than 30 years.

This has made me remember something that crosses my mind from time to time.:
what was the supposed pendulum at before the religous right? the "New Left" with underground? ok. what was before that and before that? And so on.

I think we're talking a very modern phenomenon that started in a big way in the 1960s, prior to that you simply had "American culture" and it's only over the last 50+ years have we been flip flopping between one extreme and the other.

Feels like we live in a weird alternate ending timeline.

I think no matter what Antifa and BLM are going to be destroyed after the election. If Trump wins it’ll be messy. If Biden/Kamala win the mask is dropped and they’ll quietly extinguish the far left radicals and antifa while pretending that it isn’t happening. Rioters and BLM start getting massive charges thrown at them and the media all covers it up to try and pretend everything is hunky dory. They’re a tool for getting a dem into the White House and they can’t unite the country/show the world what a good job they’re doing if Antifa is still out and about tearing down statues and rioting
