As I said before, you can only change the nickname, not the actual username. The anonymous girl on Reddit and Tessa both showed his username on his profile page, and both times it was RyanTheChat. So those are proven to be his.

In theory, yes, but in actuality there are small indicators for your interactions with that person on the profile page that a person who does not use it wouldn't recognize. For example:

The blue checkmark in the top right proves they are friends. Immediately under the name shows their last message exchange - it was 5 weeks ago, sent from Ryan to the anon with no response. If this was fake and they'd never really spoken before, why would Ryan have messaged them with no response from them? That also places their most recent conversation as very early September, and since the anon said they didn't find out about any of the other girls until August, it makes sense to me why they talked for a short while after she found out and then suddenly stopped. So again, very unlikely that this is fake.

EDIT: I wish they'd scrolled down and showed the "friends since x date" line, but it occurs to me that all of the saved images and messages would show up there too, meaning there's probably a lot of nudes in that section for them. So that's probably why they didn't do so.

I doubt it's so much that as that this seems beneath most people's attention in the "official" media. You've got to remember that the MSM is still dominated almost entirely by boomer values and boomer sorting of importance. A college assistant volleyball coach is still related to sports, and therefore Important. This scandal is related to interweb nerd shows and cartoons and is therefore Unimportant.

While I don't doubt Warner Media is fully capable of trying to engineer a blackout, I don't think they have to in this case. The far simpler explanation is that the major news outlets are run and directed by people whose idea of entertainment is a bottle of gin, and have a high case of disdain for anything that wasn't the height of social importance in 1975-1989.

In terms of every accusation so far, including non-proven ones, I think we have indeed broken double digits - we've got the seven main girls, and there were about 5 or so unsubstantiated claims, about three of which were anonymous.
