Okay cool, Lowtax is finally out of the picture. I can finally present my 27 point plan on how to Make the Forums Great Again! I'm sure Jeffrey is going to be looking for a smart go-getter like myself to give him a foolproof set of steps to bring SA into the modern age and revitalize its moneymaking potential while holding onto the core comedic culture it built in the past.

Hahahah okay that's out of my system. I know the urge to pitch in and help out is hard to ignore but on the other hand this is SomethingAwful. It's the wellspring from which all goonery flows. Building it up so that Jeffrey can profit off the site makes as much sense as subbing to Lowtax's patreon.

Making some popcorn and watching the chaos as Jeffrey gets eviscerated by his rotten den of crazy people sounds like a much better deal.

E: You gotta give some credit to Zack "Geist Editor" as well, he had quite a bit of comedy gold especially when doing a good back and forth with Steve "Malak", but of course everyone just remembers him as the guy that ironically reviewed porn games wrote ironic reviews of porn games.

Mixed bag, really. There's always been a certain degree of scamming, theft, etc in EVE, but typically it was frowned on behavior. Goonfleet earlier in it's existence had to hold off on that kind of thing to avoid pissing off their landlords too much, but eventually Remedial (and other space lords of goonfleet) stopped caring and let goons do whatever they wanted, with the result that thousands of gullible morons and corporations have been bilked out of their space cash and goods.

The whole thing where the entire organization was run using offsite stuff mostly instead of ingame tools was definitely a goon invention though. Some alliances (basically a conglomeration of guilds) ran their own offsite forums, that was about it.

Though there was an incident where some Russians offered to have a guy cut the power to a certain enemy Titan pilot's house during a critical battle.

I admit I never kept up with the Voidburger saga aside from how she was a mediocre Let's Player who got a bunch of simps due to being ostensibly female with minor doodling ability.
