I wouldn't say it was ironic, but even Denzel was like 'I have more important shit to do with my life then be outraged over being called an insult I don't like.' Dax used his black friend as a cudgel against his anti-Maddox crusade. Was it right? Well Maddox was being an f-slur reporting any no no things Dax did. At the time it was seen as using the same tools Maddox was using against him. Funny? Yeah. However when you unironically work behind the scenes to Karren the dudes work, it stops being about the irony of attacking Maddox under the same logic he used and about becoming what you hate. As far as I know Dax did work to get Jessie blackballed from marketing work. Asterios did too (they even posted his resume on the reddit then deleted it after a few hours) but Asterios has always been that kind of person.
