Of course, it's shitty when real victims come forward and their claims are either ignored or not believed... but to be expected to instantly believe every single claim is silly. Also, it's equally disgusting and scummy to use your position as a woman to try and ruin some innocent mans life just because you don't like him... these SJWs make it harder for real victims to speak out about their genuine experiences. False rape claims are really common at conventions, especially the ones known to be party cons (is spiking water containers still a thing cause it used to be bad, especially around the time of the dances/"raves"). A lot of females think they can sell their bodies for a bed and there's no need to shell out 500$ for a room. . . Except when the dude they fuck kicks them out after the deed; then it's that they were dragged up to the room and assaulted. The amount of bullshit I had to deal with being on con ops/patrol is astounding.

The Ryan Haywood situation proves how easy it is to provide the evidence needed to demonstrate the kind of behavior Vic has been accused of. Screenshots, first-hand reports, corroborative stories, and now even proof that he's been contacting women who haven't even come out yet; all things that KickVic and, more alarmingly, the defendant's case didn't just lack, but even more alarmingly seemingly refused to provide. I have never heard a single rumor about Ryan Haywood's conduct with fans, never heard a word about him inviting underage girls to his hotel rooms, or even him having sexual relations with his fans; and yet, here we are, with a mountain of evidence, all public, all against a fairly massive internet figure, and no one's witch-hunted the victims, something KV assured me would happen if people came forward about their sexual assault. There's no cases of someone posting a picture and claiming something happened as a 3rd party and the person in the picture coming forward to deny the 3rd party's claims of assault. None of that.

So just remember: when these cretins claims that they can't show anyone the totally real evidence they have to "protect the victims" just look to the case of Ryan Haywood; a man who, until a week ago, was seen as a family man who has been cast to the wolves in the face of irrefutable evidence of statutory rape. However, Vic is simultaneously a known rapist and "creep" and also no one would believe evidence that he's committed sexual assault. KV is full of shit and they know it.

I'd put this warning out for just about everyone. My husband went to his first con at 18 and ended up drinking water that was spiked at the dance.

Go with a group of people you trust if you're going to go to the dances or drink at the bar in case the worse happens. Or bring your own booze and drink in your room (just know your limits)

Jokes aside big fuckin agree. That's what you call evidence and receipts right there. And here's the thing....most of the "accusers" didn't diminish their own responsibility in the process. They were accountable for their actions and what they contributed.

There's guilt and trauma associated with what happened so the way they approach and present their stories is entirely different.

There's no way to go 'scorched earth' right now until appeals are done. He can't add more to the lawsuit. Unless he chooses to air their dirty laundry or something, he's already going as hard into appeals as is possible. Him dropping the lawsuit seems like a really unlikely thing to announce over Unlocked, though, since he would do it over twitter or something I'd think. Especially because of the GFM, which has come from so many more people than just the rangers who follow him on Unlocked. I'm concerned that @Svetlana characterized it as an announcement, though. Heavy announcements are basically never good. It could be as simple as dropping Unlocked....but if I follow the hints he dropped, connecting it to 'the events of the last year and a half' and that something was 'revealed to him', I think the most likely conclusion is that he feels he was wrong to be pursuing his VA career and feels there's something else he should be doing that he was ignoring/refusing to do.

If he has decided something like his career forward lies in the ministry rather than anime, it's unlikely to impact the lawsuit, because those psychos won't stop hounding him and trying to get him canceled from everything, not just voice acting.

Depends on which 'church' as every Christian denomination has a widely differing set of rules beyond the 10 Commandments. And each claims their set is the correct one. I was raised RC and saw just how broad the rules are first hand. I can't see Vic ever going scorched earth. It just isn't in his makeup. It's also hard to figure him leaving his fans. The problem is that the longer he is out of the anime voice acting and bigger conventions, the sooner his popularity will wane and more fans will move on to someone else. That is almost inevitable.

He'll never go scorched earth, but I do think Ty and co intend to go hard if appeals come back. Ty was pretty clear that he went for 'just a bit beyond prima facie' on every count, likely to ration the money given (at the time only 100-200k) - after encountering an extremely hostile and petty defense full of insanity, and arguably (though I disagree) suffering through an appeals phase because they didn't go 100% full-out from the start, and the continued defamation and harassment since then, I see Ty (and Vic, who's in charge) going much harder. Just not true 'scorched earth', because that's just not his way.
