Because tumblr. As far as I understand tumblr logic, they do stuff like type "ry/n" to avoid showing up in the tags so they don't have to engage with people that disagree. Like if you hate a popular thing and want to talk about it, it'll still show up when someone who likes the thing searches, and fandoms are exceptionally fucking stupid.

Yup, because of Ryan and his Twitch status, the server was partnered and couldn't be relinquished properly to the admins who wanted to overtake and make it a 'safe' space.

Looks like Discord stepped in and helped with that. Now it's no longer partnered, afaik

This may be a controversial opinion, but lots of young people are being mass influenced by completely degenerate bullshit in media and at school. Twitter and Reddit are a fucking wasteland of coomer content. News today is all fake. Stuff like TikTok promotes body image issues. And social justice progressive-warrior autism is catastrophic. People are promoting crap like polyamory, or trooning, or dangerhair gender-special, shit to prepubescent kids.

Any kid growing up today is likely to have mental problems and make bad decisions, because most influences and authority figures of today are unqualified, and fuuuuuuuucking disappointing.

I just watched and even that was as pretty vanilla and tame. He still even just refers to this as a “nude scandal” and mostly just overviews the issues RT has in general. I know libel is always a concern, but I feel like enough verifiable and admitted stuff has happened to start getting into all the grooming and statutory claims.

I'm just saying it's Rooster Teeth. They have been on the downturn for a while, and can't really be put in any one fandom pile. If this happened at Marvel, DC, Funimation, Crunchyroll, or Sentai, it would probably be blowing up a lot more.

Of course it's intriguing to autists like us.

I forgot to mention that Quartering did a video early on, but it was lame AF. Mostly defending both Ryan and Adam. Be careful what you wish for.
