If he did have a job alongside streaming, why would he disclose that? He's not exactly the type to talk about something that could easily identify him. However I do think he does/did, since I doubt that the super chats he gets is enough to provide a stable income.
He claimed life had thrown a situation at him that caused him to have to suck it up "deal with it" when he opened his patreon. That could have been him being fired for being the jackass that he is or that he got cancer aids. But, when people spoke like he was sick, he went with it.

iirc the dox zed posted would place Jim as a fairly wealthy nigga. I know alot of people doubt it, but its the most trustworthy lead we have. Even if it isn't accurate, I don't think there'ss much to lead us to believe otherwise. Jim is a functional adult, and people like that have a job in order to feed themselves and their families. I think its a fair assumption, especially if he bought a new property in the past year. Jim may spend a good deal of time on the internet, but its a hobby, as shown with the inconsistency in his upload schedule. His main streaming times were always in the mornings and on weekends, which wouldn't conflict with some sort of job. Even the more oddly timed streams would generally place him outside of standard work hours for his timezone. I think its safe to assume Jim has/had a normal career and wasn't just living off of youtube shekels.
On another note, I genuinely miss Jim and wish he would stream or make videos again. The propertarian video kind've sucked and had terrible audio, but Jim's content had been genuinely entertaining to me in a way few things are. I've never given him a dime and he doesn't owe me anything, but I really enjoyed the content he made. I tseems like nearly every form of entertainment I genuinely enjoy is doomed to vanish or be purged off the internet, and it makes me sad. Theres only a handful of people around these days that genuinely brings a smile to my face.
