FBI has had the laptop for over a year already and didn't say anything. Remember when Trump got impeached for congratulating the new President of the Ukraine?

I'm like 95% sure they found child porn. I used to work at a repair shop and it was policy that if we ever found cp we would immediately clone the drive and alert law enforcement.

FBI usually collects all evidence including cloned drives in these cases. Why would the tech keep the cloned drive with CP on it and later give it to Rudy's lawyer? That exposes him to a huge liability.

At least where I've worked, going through someone's laptop is something you don't do, and the only thing we were ever allowed to report to the authorities is if we find CP on the computer during the course of a repair.

Louis Rossman the Repair Man did a video on this. He said it was common practise that customer sign a contract with a clause in it that if they don't pickup the property after X amount of days they forfeit their ownership. He said when that happens with him he usually keeps the drive in case the customer comes back and uses the laptop for spare parts or something.

Nothingburger, congressional subpoenas to testify can be and are ignored/denied all the time. If this subpoena is ignored or denied by Jack, the senate would have to vote to recommend the DOJ take Jack to court, and then the DOJ would have to actually take him to court. It doesnt have to if it doesn't want to. Same procedure as with perjury before congress. Three guesses on would that all happen and the first two dont count
