This is why you shouldn't get too emotionally invested in the internet, people.
It's the internet. You have fun, you laugh, people laugh at you, you laugh at them, you meet like-minded people, you meet people with different opinons, you meet assholes, you meet cool people, you meet dumbasses, you meet people with similar experiences, you meet old people who find all of this equally fascinating and frightening like maybe you will when you're their age, you meet children and teenagers who don't use it properly like you probably didn't when you were their age, you get angry, you get sad, people talk shit, you talk shit back, you talk shit with them, you make a new friend, you find that old friend you haven't seen in ages's pony-filled blog, you make a video on something you like, you read some crappy fanfiction, all of that and more, but once you go to sleep, or have to run an errand, and close that window on your computer, it becomes nothing more than that, a window on an internet browser on a computer that you're going to turn off at some point.
And whether that window's open or closed, it remains a window to something that, though you can see physically, doesn't actually exist in the real world. It's just something you can see on a device. It can't grow arms and hit you. It can't pop in unannounced at a party or a family gathering and tell embarassing stories about you to your 80-year-old grandmother. It's not important. It doesn't matter. It's a fucking thing that we can stop seeing whenever we want, where we communicate with people from all around the world that we are very unlikely to meet.
The internet doesn't matter. It's fun and useful, but it's ultimately unworthy of any real importance.
TL;DR stop being a bitch
