Invisible Crane (Powerword: Grant McClellan) is a Scottish autist, anime sperg, gamer, and amateur voice actor known for showing off his dick and making lulzy streams on his Ustream account page. More recently, he made an account here on the Farms to comment on topics in the former Entersphere subforum and still does streams every so often.

Wow, that is a infuriatingly whiney voice. Just wow. I can't think of another word to describe it.

Add that to the gasping for breath and the...un-identifiable accent and it's a wonder the VA directors aren't knocking down his door to get to him.

The "baww I'm lonely videos" remind me of... fuck, I can't remember his name, but he's some sperg at an anime convention in his hotel room literally crying about how small the bathroom is and also how the big bed would be great "EXCEPT I DON'T HAVE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER!"


Also terrible voice acting. Like, he's too bad to dub anime, and from what little I've seen a lot of English anime VA's are pretty.... bad.

There were some vids of his recent streams that were said to show some interesting choice words. However, the uploader appears to have unlisted them for some reason (I'm assuming it was to get Grant to stream again after one of his many pity parties).

As for how he got involved the anti-DSP community, I'll try to shed some light on this as I was there went it started. InvisibleCrane decided to attend the stream chat of the Sons of Kojima podcast during one of their recordings. When the topic of DSP's Patreon came up, InvisibleCrane kept telling everyone in the chat how it was pointless to report DSP's patreon (I don't remember what prompted this) until some recognized his name due to his ED page. He kept freaking out about it even when everyone else in the chat said they didn't really care. This naturally lead to the video above afterwards. There's a bit more to this, but I don't remember much as I hadn't followed up on this stuff till May.

If you want to piss Grant off, here's some tips:
Mention Steph Lietch. She's a chick he was in love with that now (allegedly) has a restraining order and may have changed her last name.
Compare him to Ashley Burch. He hates Ashley Burch and says she doesn't deserve to be a voice actor because her brother got her her job, which is funny considering the only reason Grant has a job as a janitor at Morrison's is because his mom got it for him.
Bring up any successful people in his age range. Also, any successful woman. Or any woman. He hates any women who don't dress like sluts or give him attention.
Bring up his racist and sexist tendencies.
Point out that he's throwing pity parties while he's throwing pity parties.
Ask him if games are art.
Mention that live studio audiences are better than pre-recorded shows.
Tell him you like his brother Fraser more than him.
Ask him why he votes UKIP (he votes UKIP).
Tell him to play Shovel Knight, Bloodborne, or say that he's not a real fan of Final Fantasy since he's never beaten any of the games but Dirge of Cerberus (he has a DoC tattoo)
Tell him to move out.
Ask him about World War Free.
Call him a casual.

Holy shit, this guy is still around? And he got crazier?!

GrantM was my first lolcow. Stupid backstory time, when I was a kid I used to do hobby acting and played around on the Voice Acting Alliance for a while. One day I decided I wanted to try producing a project of my own, wrote up a script and put out a call for auditions. As luck would have it, this was about the time Grant got it in his head that he could totally be a voice over artist, and he sent me auditions. Turns out, my old email still has the clips he sent me saved. These are literally a decade old and are in all honesty more cringeworthy than funny (not like the classic 'sorry bout that ding' bit), but, eh, for those curious about his acting 'prowess': mediafire

He used to have this huge thread over on another forum years ago (now defunct, apparently) where he just angsted about not being a professional anime voice actor. As far as I remember from that old thread, that whiny nasal voice is a put-on he speaks in near constantly, to the point where his own father told him to knock it off and speak normally. For a while though it kind of seemed like he was getting his act together and I forgot about him shortly afterward. Oh how wrong I was. I'm actually a little stunned that this is the same guy.

I also shouldn't be surprised that he's now gone and shown his wanger to the internet but, well, here we are. On the bright side, he's lost weight since his voice acting antics so uh, 'grats?

Isn't that the insane right wing racist UK party? What is it with these unemployed/underemployed manchildren who do everything they can avoid personal responsibility holding political views that emphasize or even over-emphasize personal responsibility?


EDIT: Well, I guess it's just this guy and The Iconoclast, but still, neither of them are the hard-working, self-starting go-getters who give their all and acknowledge their own failures and shortcomings that their respective political parties idealize.

To add to the following:
Ask him why he's still buying Anime and games instead of saving money to move out.
Ask him why he's against digital distribution(He thinks it won't last).
Call him out for saying gamers are entitled.
If he doesn't have his face cam on when he's streaming, ask him to turn it on. He'll eventually cave in if you also say he's spitting on his fans faces otherwise.
Tell him My Little Pony, Adventure Time(he tends to wear this scarf based off a character), or Steven Universe sucks.
