I think this video (and some before) show that Nyk's rise to fame is slowely but surely dwindling. Youtube's "queen" made how many videos in this year, four or five? + This video is not more than 23 minutes long, whereas in his best days his videos were at least 30 minutes (and often longer). This is the first video in this year I've watched from Nyk and I couldn't watch more than the first five minutes. His aesthetic is now predictable or just boring (like in this video) + it will get more and more difficult for him to hide behind his aesthetic. This is probably also the reason why this is one of few videos that remind me a bit of pre-transition Nyk: This video is shorter, the aesthetic is boring, but there is actually more substance than in 2018 and 2019 Nyk. This of course doesn't change the fact that most of his arguments are just stolen from other people and seasoned with some "nyas" and alcoholism. For people who don't want to watch it, here's a summary for the first five minutes. I actually wanted to do it for the whole video, but I just couldn't do it.
00.10: Predictable sigh at the beginning
(It's so tedious to be a Youtube star!) and referting to the fans as "children" (typical condescending Nyk, but as we all know his fans are mostly young male who are looking for a tranny figure to look up to)
00.37: Typical alcoholism of Nyk
00.42: Mentions the "plague", quarantine, "oppressive policing", "rising tide of fascim". W
hat have those things to do with you, Nyk? And rising tide of facism? It's unbelievable that progressives still think Trump is this enormous endangerment to their beloved democracy. In the last four years Trump transformed from a populist to your garden-variety republican. Today Trump mostly talks about economics on his rallies. But I'm sure somehow economics is still a dog whistle for racism, anti-semitism and transphobia, right?
01:00: Virtue signaling about the plague: "Trump killed 200'000 people!"
01.30: Talks about how he was a Bernie Sanders supporter (Nothing says working class more than being a rich troon on YouTube) and wished to be more vocal about it.
1.40: Trump bad! Vote for Biden! He cries about leftist twitter users and how they will accuse him of being a radlib because he'll vote for Biden.
02:13: retarded "Nyaa!"
02:50: Bashing America: "America is so great even the floor is made out of poison!"
Again Nyk, how much money do you make a year?
03:00: Vote for Biden not because he's good, but because Trump is evil! (Choose the lesser evil!)
04:00: Reponds to the claim that Trump and Biden are basically the same, the same way people said that Clinton and Trump are the same in 2016 and lists some arguments why Hilary would have been better:
Evil Trump stuff:
Filing the surpreme court with anti-abortion fanatics
Withdrawing from the Paris agreement (Which means what? The Paris agreement was nothing more than a symbol and didn't force any country to actually do something. But well, Nyk's all but aesthetic)
Appointing climate change deniers to head climate research (The president of the USA doesn't appoint who heads climate research. For example the most important climate research orgnaisation in the world is IPCC and includes climate researchers from all over the world. Interestingly if you read some reports of the IPCC they are rarely as alarmist as climate activists make them to be. For example many IPCC climate researchers support nucear energy, something you would never hear of adherents of the New Green Deal)
Attempting to remove medical non-discrimination protections for trans people ("Attempted", did it work? With the exception of the military ban for trans people nothing changed in the law. Most horrific stories about "erasing trans people" were just overblown or outright fake)
Constantly malinging the integrity of the elections with no evidence? (Who propagated the russia gate conspiracy for four years again?)
Declaring the press the enemy of the people (Well, without reason?)
Calling white nationalist militias "very fine people" and telling them to "stand by" (Still a lie, but who cares?)
Aspiring to be an autocratic dictator and disdaining democracy itself (Again, what changed in the American constitution? Which law reform turned America to a dictatorship? In Turkey there was actually reason to believe that Erdogan transformed Turkey to a dictatorship, because he actually CHANGED fundamental laws in Turkey. Furthermore America was never intended to be a democracy, but a republic. Full and direct democracy in the USA with so many different ethnic groups would be a disaster. At least democratization didn't end well in my mother's former homeland Yugoslavia)
Triviliazing a deadly pandemic in the name of delusional macho posturing (The only point with some truth, even though we still don't know how deadly this pandemic actually is)
Most of these points are almost completely aesthetic and didn't really impact America's "democracy". Nyk of course doesn't mention other points that might be of interest:
- Trump didn't start a new war (Might change if he gets reelected, but it's true for now)
- Trump was never anti-LGBT. He was actually one of the first people to support a civil union for homosexual couples when Hillary and Biden were still raging homophobes.
- Trump might have been wrong about COVID and really killed people with his policies, but do we just ignore how many people were killed by wars that were endorsed and even pushed by Hillary?
- It's strange that beloved progressive demographics like black + latino and gay voters are much more evenly split between Trump and Biden now than in the last elections during the last three decades. Most of them are still loyal democratic voters (and I don't really blame them), but it's puzzling to me how the most evil and fascist president of history can win more latino and gay votes than republican presidents/candidates before.
After five minutes I stopped watching the video because the arguments are the same ones you hear on Twitter everyday. I know that even my comments for all the arguments Nyk made are unnecessary, since they really aren't new. I'm not a fan of Trump, but Trump derangement syndrom just really exhausts me by now. That's why I sometimes hope that Biden actually wins. America is declining and neither Trump nor Biden will change that. Trying to fix a sinking ship on the open sea is futile, evacuation is the only meaningful thing you can do.
