I only played partially through the first one and that was it so I can't answer that. I just know nerds have been fetishizing her for years.

The TLDR is that Mass Effect 1 had three good companion characters. Tali, Garrus, and Wrex. There were two humans and an alien that could be described as bland and bland with blue tits. There was also no option to romance the Tali, Garrus, and Wrex, unlike the bland humans and blue lady. That might be why there's so much porn made of them.

In Mass Effect 2, Tali was one of the returning characters, and was made a romance option. By that point it made sense. You'd got to know each other over one and a half games.

I never really agreed with the hype of Mass Effects romances. To me they felt like "choose generic nice option X number of times for cringe PG sex scene". The sex scenes themselves have all the erotic appeal of bashing two dolls together. Amateurs making porn in source film maker do a better job. Due to technical limitations, Tali's scene tastefully faded to black, and cutting to the next morning. It's even a fun character bit with her getting sick (Tali's people wear those suits due to weak immune systems).

You never saw Tali without her suit. Then in Mass Effect 3 they fucked it up with by having her face reveal be a stock photo of a human.

I've seen people choose a "waifu" based on way less, so it's no surprise Tali gets the fetish treatment, but I think to call her sexualised is a stretch. Especially when compared to other races and characters. Especially when their best evidence is so thin.

Calling Tali sexualized is absolutely ridiculous given she never leaves her suit on screen. The most you see of her is a slight hint of a nose within the dome of her helmet, so calling the presence of hips in a spacesuit sexual strikes me as prudish grasping of straws.
