okay he really is like dumbest motherfucker on planet earth. You don't need an alarm clock to wake up at 10am. Also you can use your iphone alarm with it on airplane mode I do it every night. There is zero need for an alarm clock even if you get up early for work which he doesn't.

I think my favorite little tidbit about the stupid alarm clock story is Phil has to mention that Kat "surprised" him and bought it for him, which is of course an obvious ploy to dodge people pointing out that he wastes money on frivolous stuff. Stuff like his $100 previous clock from fucking Brookstone. But you see, HIS WIFE paid for this one, which makes it totally OK. Apparently they don't share finances and Phil just lets his wife, who works part time and probably makes just above minimum wage, buy things for him when it's nowhere near his birthday, Christmas, or some other gift giving occasion.
