Can't speak for all but for a long time, RT was involved in some way with our internet habits (RvB, AH, etc). I watched their shit until about 2016 and my sense of humor changed and didn't like the diversity hires. People will pay much more attention to something that they actively watched. Plus the fact that RT is so "woke" and "against sexism". They pretend to be a paragon of virtue but are far from it.

These people talk about wanting LGBT rights and Women's rights and this vein of things, then they get themselves into trouble that if it were handled properly by their peers and their powers that be would be a good victory for these things and then nothing happens. It is a shame, Anarchy has probably the best brainy side of any game, so even if you're a slow cunt who watches Top Gear while he's in a raid, you can make up for it by kitting your character out for that.

As a micro-scale version, they started a new server, and for some people this was a paradise because of the culture of decking out low-level characters with high-level gear in the game.

When a new server started, the people who knew how to kit out low levels thrived. Unfortunately for the game's population, most of these people were of a far more abrasive character than the "career politics" which thrives in Guild leadership. All bark and no bite.

So, myself and several others were easily the most effective force in the game for the first few weeks, since this was a hobby within the game community for decades and we had perfected our "pimping out noobs" strategies. This "Early and Often" approach meant that we were first to get to milestones and could, using strategies like "actually doing things" and "getting people what they want", recruit and expand. Richer than and stronger than the competition.

Eventually, I was saying abhorrent things in the world chat on a regular basis. I was kicked from the guild, which lead to the entire guild collapsing shortly after, since despite the Guild leadership wanting a better public image, they couldn't get the goods to do so without the muscle, and there's no muscle without shitposting. Those who left ended up joining another guild, who actively headhunted these shitposters having recognised the advantage.

This small story explains the problem faced by many companies with declining quality - talent often finds itself uncomfortable with overbearing regulation, especially social regulation. In the same vein that Operation Paperclip was the key to Americans on the moon, you can't have properly motivated workhorse while whipping it too hard. I know the MMO example is a bit soygoy but you can find this among companies, such as, now, RoosterTeeth. If RT was any other company, ramming fatties would be a "We condemn this, anyway, here's a new show" - instead it has caused a total collapse of the company, specifically because they chose to overpolice themselves, and slowly wove a noose for themselves. Had they not attacked others as they did, nobody would give a fuck that some of their staff were degenerate. And on top of that, if their recent content was actually appealing to many people, there wouldn't be thousands of scorned fans. They went out of their own way to make enemies of their own fans, and now these former fans have handed back the noose.

He never mentioned his father by name but I found it through his grandfather's obituary. Although in another twitch stream he said he looked up to his stepfather, in which he eventually did a charity stream for when he died.
