New York Post got their hands on a hard drive from Hunter Biden's laptop and shows Joe Biden lied about Hunter's dealings with Ukraine

Couple stories on the New York Post

FBI has had the laptop for over a year already and didn't say anything. Remember when Trump got impeached for congratulating the new President of the Ukraine?

What the hell is the FBI doing?

Supposedly there is also a video of him engaged in a "sex act" and a couple of photo's of him. This is one is particular juicy

How is this info hacked? Hunter leaves his laptop at laptop repair guy. He doesnt pay $85. Laptop now is repair guys responsibility. The info is on the laptop. What hacking has occured?
I could see a lawyer making the case on the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Never forget what they sent weev to prison for.

(a)Whoever—
(1) having knowingly accessed a computer without authorization or exceeding authorized access, and by means of such conduct having obtained information that has been determined by the United States Government pursuant to an Executive order or statute to require protection against unauthorized disclosure for reasons of national defense or foreign relations, or any restricted data, as defined in paragraph y. of section 11 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, with reason to believe that such information so obtained could be used to the injury of the United States, or to the advantage of any foreign nation willfully communicates, delivers, transmits, or causes to be communicated, delivered, or transmitted, or attempts to communicate, deliver, transmit or cause to be communicated, delivered, or transmitted the same to any person not entitled to receive it, or willfully retains the same and fails to deliver it to the officer or employee of the United States entitled to receive it;

They could make the argument that the repair tech exceeded the authorized access after they had fixed it. They also may be able to make the argument in regards to accessing his emails since most clients us IMAPS where the emails are stored on the server and cached locally.

I'm not a scumbag lawyer though so maybe I'm wrong.

Until Hulk Hogan disavows burger cartoons, I will never rest. I will rate every single one of his posts as autistic and make my single goal in life to make sure he has all the bad stickers on the forum before I end up in a grave.
Jack won't be able to tolerate that.
So long, Babylon Bee :semperfidelis:

All joking aside, a very good time to put on Twitter stock. I wonder how next they are going to mess up.

It's also pretty funny when Twitter gets countless examples of them not enforcing these guidelines against anti-trump claims and them just shrugging and being like "Well, I mean, we are always improving and..." - I'm sure corporates using it for advertising really love seeing how these guys are the biggest insane fuck-ups possible during any crisis. That just combined with the past account log-in kerfluffle must have them really considering if it's worth it to have a corporate account on there.

They could make the argument that the repair tech exceeded the authorized access after they had fixed it.

It was on the disk drive, if you tell me that he entered his iClouds and his Apple account that would fly but once you lost the property of the laptop that includes the data, unless you argue that the duty of the repairman was to format the disk and leave it like that BUT the disclaimer by default say that you lost your computer with everything on it, after the client lost the computer the repairman can burn it and fry steaks on if he wanted to do so

I could write a bible of how many amateur porn i had to see from clients so this is very plausible, thankfully no CP

I have, several times and it's never been easy to make those phone calls to upper management and then the FBI.

Holding that info till the feds get there and you have to tell those people who you saw some of the most awful shit "It's gonna be a few more days, part was back ordered" is brutal.

One can only imagine their family's reaction when they get hauled off to prison.

As funny as it would be for Twitter to take down CNN's most hated competitor the Babylon Bee, I don't think they'll go quite that far.

Actually, was it CNN or some New York Times reporter who bitched that Babylon Bee got more pagehits?

Christ on a hula-hoop y'all are making hunter's laptop repair out to be something CONSPIRATORIAL!

Look this is how it works in the tech field for a normie (re boomer/gen x/clueless millenial):

1. My computer broke I don't have the skills to fix it.
2. Find computer repair shop to fix my computer.
3. Drop off laptop, sign papers, don't look at fine details, please fix my magic tech device.
4. Shop calls you up "Your gigaram was bad had to reinstall the OS with a new teraquad drive". You agree because this is all mumbojumbo to you. You want your magic device back.
5. You pickup your computer and go on with your day once it's fixed.

Now we know the laptop had an ASSET TAG on it. This identified it as part of the "Biden Foundation" or something to that nature. This laptop was probably (assuming smart corporation logic here) bought under the company, handed out to an "employee" and if/when it broke there's a certified shop that fixes said equipment that this business used. All of this is normal and smart business sense.

What is PLAUSABLE to happen is that Hunter not knowing shit about computers said "Hey my macbook is acting up where should I Take it to?" , corporation says "Take it to MacShop, they fix all our company stuff". He does this as he wants his MagicInternetDevice to work again. He's stored his entire life on there and in Apple's Cloud (He and the rest of the Biden clan all own iphones due to the end to end encryption and a macbook) so he can look at any of the pictures and emails on the macbook whenever. This is when the MacShop starts to do their diagnosis for repair.

MacShop Repair Timeline (assumption but normally valid):

1. Diagnosis begins to figure out the customers problem. Use the login/pw provided to diagnose issue.
2. Discover any problems as well as look to find other issues that you can bill for.
3. Uncover files that are 'questionable' (read: if you don't send this to Law Enforcement you are going to prison too) and you notify your boss
4. Call the FBI as this is a company asset, your local cops rarely get involved at this level as it's based on the Internet (crossing state/country lines) so it's a Federal action.
5. Make backups of the data just in case the laptop dies and you can't prove your point.
6. FBI comes and seizes equipment , takes statement from all people who looked at the laptop, goes into Federal Bureaucratic black hole.

At this point you do NOT notify the customer that the equipment is fixed. You do that ONLY in conjunction with law enforcement as the customer needs to retrieve their equipment to then show chain of possession and the fact that it is THEM who is picking it up. Hunter abandoning the equipment means the FBI had to do a bit more investigation into who owned the laptop, when, etc. etc.

At this point Hunter fucks off to who knows where, gets a new laptop, and reinstalls all his files therein as they are all in Apple's Cloud Ecosystem.

I am willing to put MONEY this is what happened. No conspiracy, no flying across the world, no QANON shit. A simple idiot user drops off their shitty equipment and then forgets about it.

EDIT: cleaned up wordage.
All this and then repairshop guy gets antsy, loses faith that the FBI is going to do anything, reaches out to Rudi's lawyer who convinces him that the best way to handle it now is an October Surprise bombshell because law enforcement abdicated their duties anyway.

Slightly off-topic, but I've been told there is an unspoken "code" between garbage men and other waste workers that you should try and retrieve any electronics that have been dumped, especially if they seem like they're in good condition, despite going through trash actually being a legal gray area because there might be child porn/murder stuff on there.

Just another reason they deserve our utmost respect. It's nice knowing that the code is a thing.

Among the purge was the Babylon Bee, a Christian satire site that often mocks leftist politicians and the woke mob. Their account was reinstated within hours. Twitter claimed the Bee was inadvertently caught in a spam filter, and that their temporary takedown had nothing to do with politics. However, the timing of the Bee’s suspension is absurdly suspicious.

This is far from the first time the Babylon Bee has been targeted by online censors. Last year, they went up against the fact-checking site Snopes.com, who attempted to label the site as misinformation and accused them of spreading lies, missing the point of satire completely. While a fact-checking site would normally not cause too much worry, Snopes was partnered with Facebook, so their label of “fake news” can prevent content from being seen and could lead to deplatforming from a huge avenue for reaching audiences.

Didn't Twitter already try to ban them? That kind of biting satire, that lays bare the idiocy of leftists pursuits, drives them mad.

Never forget their overreaction to the NPC meme and the 'learn to code' quips at journalists. They had extreme meltdowns over those, and purged hard on all platforms.

The thing is is if the internet was a level playing field, their domination would dwindle rapidly. As that old /pol/ meme says, they cannot compete in the marketplace of ideas, where they'll get stomped almost every time, so they must lean hard on censorship.

N.B. Hunter Biden is a literal crackhead whose other claim to fame involves raw-dogging a Vegas stripper. Not a man known for great life choices.

Everything Twitter can do wrong, it does. It's a very strange beast and it's only a matter of time that something causes it to finally flatline. My bet is some black person gets shadowbanned after posting a video of a Jewish Man beating an African-American celebrity or something and the whole platform implodes.

yes. mostly for parts or to sell cheap computers to people that cant afford it, i have literally dusted off old core 2 duos from garbage bins, installed lubuntu on them and sold it for next to nothing because getting a new computer is impossible here

The question then becomes... why clone it? Why not just hand that over to the FBI and walk away?

He says it's because he feared the Democrats would kill him if there wasn't a copy held by a lawyer. The sad thing is, it's not an unreasonable thing to worry about.

Mac Isaac referenced the infamous Seth Rich conspiracy theory—which holds that a DNC staffer who police say was murdered in a botched robbery was actually killed off by Clinton allies because he leaked committee emails—as reason for his paranoia. He said he made a copy of the hard drive for the purposes of personal protection.

“They probably knew I had a copy because I was pretty vocal about not wanting to get murdered,” he said, “so I’m going to have a copy.”

Mac Isaac refused to answer specific questions about whether he had been in contact with Rudy Giuliani before the laptop drop-off or at any other time before the Post article’s publication. Pressed on his relationship with Giuliani, he replied: “When you’re afraid and you don’t know anything about the depth of the waters that you’re in, you want to find a lifeguard.”

Seeming to realize he’d said too much, he added: “Ah, shit.”

So Rudy was your lifeguard? the reporters asked. “No comment,” he replied.

Is it me or does he look a bit like Negan out of The Walking Dead?

It's not necessarily that they thought that the internet was 'more important' than real life, it's that the political world is full of tech-illiterate Boomers and stupid Millennials who don't understand that most people do not use social media in any appreciative fashion, so rather than taking into account that there's a massive chunk of the population whose opinion can't be measured by fucking Twitter polls, they just assume that all Twitter polls are indicative of what the public wants.

This was very noticeable in the 2019 UK General Election. Twitter was 100% sure that Corbyn would win because no one on Twitter would admit to voting for anyone else and it was the worst defeat Labour have suffered since 1935 when previously 1983 was about as bad as people thought it could get for Labour. I knew Twitter opinion was unrepresentative of public opinion but right up until I heard the result I was worried that Labour might win or it might be a hung parliament which meant nothing would get done for years. I was amazed Labour did worse than 1983 - that was completely outside my range of expected outcomes.

tl;dr - vote the way you want, don't trust blue checkmarks with their predictions that you're screwed.

Also if you're making $50K a month from Burisma and probably similar amounts from other sources a $2K laptop isn't something you see as valuable. You spend that sort of cash on a business class flight several times a month. And if you don't understand technology when you hand over a device you don't realize that that means they've got access to your emails.

Double encrypt everything with disc encryption and VeraCrypt. Make regular backups. If a machine dies restore the storage onto a new machine. Wipe, remove or physically destroy the storage on the old machine before you hand it over. Even if you're not doing anything wrong you don't want some dude in a repair shop going through your data.

Okay, now we're starting to get into the pictures where he legitimately looks like some random meth head in a gas station parking lot.
Could you imagine being a company that employs this guy? You know he doesn’t have anything to offer other than a conduit to bribe American government officials, but in your country you at least are able to pretend that there’s some legitimate business reason when you do that with your own government. At least your conduits of bribery wear a suit.

I almost feel bad for Biden, his golden boy dies of cancer and the fuckup kid just keeps making a mess at every opportunity until he finally makes one you can’t cleanup.

We can already tell that the "Biden Foundation" was cheap as fuck as Hunter used Apple's 'Mail' software for email access instead of Microsoft Outlook (THE corporate standard) whereas you can encrypt your emails stored on the device instead of in whatever shit format Apple uses.

A business account runs $9.95/mo which gets you all the office apps you need with built in encryption:

Is anyone shocked the FBI didnt do their job at this point?
