I don't follow June close in the least but as far as I can tell she appears to have the living skills of a 12 year old girl at best. Is there a single instance anywhere of her being able to even cook a basic meal?

I explained the mathematics behind this in another thread, but Shoe's pulled in about 600,000 views over the last 30 days according to Social Blade. That translates to somewhere between 300$-1200$ USD in ad revenue. She doesn't publicly disclose how much money she makes on Patreon any more (go figure) but, based on the number of patrons she has, I'd be willing to bet she's making less than 2000$ per month. 2500$ tops.

So, at most, she's making 3700$ per month being an online parasite, which is slightly short of three times more than working a part-time minimum wage job. At minimum, she's making 1300$ per month, which is equivalent to working a part-time minimum wage job.

Either way, she's hardly breaking bank, even for somebody who does nothing but pollute the internet all-day everyday.

I thought a lot of the Lets Players started selling merchandise to start making real money. If I remember right Pewdiepie said something like he made a couple hundred a month based on youtube ad revenue. It's why a lot of people hopped onto Patreon.

For whatever reason there's a huge number of people that really like buying youtuber merchandise and thus it became the serious money maker for a lot of these guys.

The political youtubers/streamers feel like they make more off donations during livestreams and just straight up hipster welfare via patreon.

Tamir Rice was walking around with a toy gun with the orange plug remove flashing it at people. His actions lead directly to his death. The fact that communications failures and a trigger happy cop also occurred does not mean all blame is lifted from him.

Had 911 passed on the information that it may have been a toy gun Rice might still be alive but possibly/probably a toy gun still means it could be a real gun.

Would Rice be alive if he was white? Hard to say but I can guarantee we would never have heard of Joey Smith from Appalachia who was shot by the police after flashing a toy gun with the orange plug removed at people.

Pewdiepie has always been to exception, not the rule. People don't buy merch because it's good, but to support creators, and in Pewdiepie's case, he cares enough to offer his fans the best possible quality in both production and design so it's also good and worth their money.
