Agreed. For far too long all of DC has harbored so many secrets and scandals that it's simply SOP now. At least one of my lefty friends proudly voted early by mail. that doesn’t even make sense considering I and the majority of Americans didn’t even know Hunter Biden existed much less needed to go through a redemption arc before 2019. As someone who is 1 year sober myself (alcoholic) my heart goes out to biden for loving his son and those texts remind me of my convos with my own dad when I was struggling. I also remember feeling like I needed to have a dramatic “redemption” as well when in all honesty staying sober is redemption enough.

But this isn’t The View. This is the real world and we need to be pragmatic about this. Being president is the most intense job in the world and we need someone who is going to be a strong leader.

Those texts are sad though. I think there is a possibility that Hunter could actually off himself without any Clinton influence. I’ve gotten in fights/missed work/let my dad down before because of my drinking, and in the hangover induced depression that shit felt like the end of the world. I can’t imagine feeling like you’ve sabotaged your dads fucking presidential campaign
