Man, they really dropped the ball for the water starter when you compare it to these two.As I said, the other starters are fine.

Maybe a little overdetailed, but nothing as ridiculously obviously furrybait as the water starter.
Why didn't he give the water starter a typing super effective against poison? It's a bit inconsistent when the fire starter is times for effective to the grass one.As I said, the other starters are fine.

Swampert already exists. Why didn't he give the water starter a typing super effective against poison? It's a bit inconsistent when the fire starter is times for effective to the grass one.
Water/psychic is a duel typing that hasn't been done yet (for starters that is). Besides it's not like the starters haven't had the same typing as others.Swampert already exists.
Well, you're not wrong there. Plus, it could lead to some pretty interesting design choices.Water/psychic is a duel typing that hasn't been done yet (for starters that is). Besides it's not like the starters haven't had the same typing as others.
Well, seeing the final evos of the gen 8 starters...

That thing wouldn't look out of place on an official game.
I think the Mudkip/Marshstomp are meant to look more like axolotls, with the side gills? But they don't look quite right without the orange also being on their cheeks and not just in the filaments. This "Finding your Roots" PMD comic is a goldmine of overly liberal choices with the designs.

The author seems to think every Pokémon looks like a "smiley face" with some limbs. Also, since when did Mudkip or Marshstomp have such big fins on the side of their face? Where's their orange cheeks?
Vulpix is the only pokemon I know that would sort of resemble that white thing, but its only the tails that give that away for me. Also, does the Nidorina (I think thats what that blue one is) have a pouch? Since when has any of that line had pouches, they're not Kangaskans.View attachment 1659369View attachment 1659370
It literally took me 5 minutes to realize that yellow cat was a Meowth. It looks nothing like it, and the only way I could tell was from the coin on it's head. Also, what Pokémon is the white thing is supposed to be? A Vulpix?
The way they drew Vulpix made it look like your typical cat-fox thing, so it was hard to tell. At least the art is a step up from the others around here?I think the Mudkip/Marshstomp are meant to look more like axolotls, with the side gills? Not that the artist would be right taking that approach seeing as the Mudkip line is based on the mud fish.I think the Mudkip/Marshstomp are meant to look more like axolotls, with the side gills? Ah, but of course, the most feared thing in Pokemon: BimboficationI was looking up some Pokemon shit weeks ago (forgot to login don't @ me) and came across this really weird fakemon AU wikia. Probably could go to the wikia thread but whatever.

I can't tell if I like or hate this, some of these are cool but then you got DSL Fishman, and some shit called Buddyized Pokemon that resembles bimbofication...friendshipification? It happens to humans too apparently.
Also some plot about this guys self insert and his evil team? I don't know I'm tired and I don't really wanna read through this. At least the art is competent.
Still, it's really annoying though to look up a character from one of the games, and get this shit every time as the second result, thanks DuckDuckGo.
I honestly don't really know what to call it, like they just turn all pink and cutesy and friendly? Calling it TF is more fitting but there's just something funnier calling it bimbofication instead.Ah, but of course, the most feared thing in Pokemon: Bimbofication

I guess it's the sorta gimmick of the evil team? It is stated that they use near entirely Fairy types. Can we talk about the abhorrent balancing in Buddymon?
Buddyized Mega Garchomp has 180 Attack, which is absurd in and of itself, but then it gets Huge Power, which doubles its Attack stat. Not to mention the 810 BST?
As for the designs themselves, they range from average to good, though idk why every buddyized mon has to be part fairy.
edit: what the guy above me said, ig it's to appeal to groomers
That hoop-snake inspired mon just left of center looks pretty original for a snake-mon.I was looking up some Pokemon shit weeks ago (forgot to login don't @ me) and came across this really weird fakemon AU wikia. Probably could go to the wikia thread but whatever.

EDIT: I am retardo and I thought I linked the Buddymon wiki, but Xenforo is retarded
I don't know, personally speaking, I like the idea of these "Buddyized" Pokémon existing somewhere. I only did a bit of skimming through the Wiki, but apparently they were artificially made to have a more friendly appearance akin to an Evil Team that is just Team Plasma but different (if that makes sense). All of them having Fairy typing also makes sense because it is a typing that is associated with friendly Pokémon and themes.I was looking up some Pokemon shit weeks ago (forgot to login don't @ me) and came across this really weird fakemon AU wikia. Do I need to say anything on this one? It's funny, it's just funny, I don't even know where to start with this one. This line takes inspiration from Robbie Rotten.
It could also be because they're balloon-like Pokémon (like Driflim), but nah, gotta go further than that. The reason these Pokémon have Aftermath as their ability is because of real-life whale corpses sometimes exploding due to a buildup of decomposition gas.
