it's the twitter way.
Meh, she would probably just block someone for disagreeing with her anyway.

I still cannot believe that this literal nothingburger of a creative "property" has a fanbase and enough content to merit even a 50 page thread here.
The reason: colorful cast and wackiness. Just look at who majority of the fans are. Those get attracted to that shite like bees to honey.

Some more interesting stuff as distraction from negativity and some food for the thread.

The owner of those versions of deer's pappy and snakey's sonny, whom you may have seen posted by me here before, commissioned some interesting art from the same artist. From what I understood, those are based on a silly story he came up with out of boredom from corona lockdown, which tells about some horrifying shit happening in a resort town for demons, populated and operated by masses of genetically made children of Alastor, Charlie and that bitchy Salvadoran gal.

I have no fucking idea why the bloke went with something so wild, but his reasoning is that something like resort town would be better operated by trustable close people, instead of demons who may fuck everything up day one, plus he was just really bored. Well, can't argue with that.

As absurd as idea is, sounds interesting, and the art is good.

Who is supposed to be who on the pictures: lumberjack, apple orchard farmhand, park ranger, same ranger but with alternate colors, pic with all three (obviously).
Update on this.

I found out that the bloke is thinking of commissioning another picture with three different zombies. Currently he is thinking about:

-Cops. Possible variants: SWAT, regular copper in protective equipment, riot control unit, deputy and the sheriff.

-Farmers.

-Emergency service workers, e.g. paramedic and firefighter.

-Miners.

-Priests that bow to Satan.

If any of you are interested, make your votes for the next three and I will tell him about your suggestions.

Big news for Helluva Boss. Season 1 will have Vivzie and her crew working with another production company ala Horseless Cowboy.

The wildly popular animated web series Helluva Boss is releasing a new season on YouTube this fall with an exciting roster of voice talent, cast and recorded by Horseless Cowboy.

Helluva Boss is a dark comedy animated web series directed, written, and produced by Vivienne Medrano, the creator of the incredibly successful animated web series Hazbin Hotel. After posting the pilots of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss to her YouTube channel, Vivziepop, the videos became an overnight sensation, and both pilots have amassed a combined 65 million views since their premiere in late 2019. A24, the production company behind Euphoria and The Lighthouse, announced on August 7th that it plans to pick up Hazbin Hotel for a full series order.

Helluva Boss will start with 8 episodes which tell the story of a group of eccentric imps who attempt to start their own assassination agency by using a magical book which allows them to jump between Hell and Earth. The creative consultancy Horseless Cowboy partnered with Medrano to cast and record actors who could lend their singing voices to the musical numbers while also delivering vocal performances in the devilishly twisted comic tone that the series requires.

-Timothy Cubbison, General Manager of Horseless Cowboy

The cast includes co-writer and star Brandon Rogers, Richard Steven Horvitz, Erica Lindbeck, and several surprise guest stars.

Vivienne Medrano and Horseless Cowboy are anticipating a great response from fans to the premiere of the next episode of the first season of Helluva Boss in the fall of 2020. The entire first season will be released on Medrano’s YouTube channel Vivziepop.
Vivienne i so going to be overstimulated (at least) trying to direc two programmes a the same time, especially programmes on different production companies.

The only showrunner I have ever heard of running multiple TV programs and not go batshit insane is Seth Macfarlane and that is only because he is genuinely extremely talented when it comes to running shows, knows how to pass most of the work for shows that are not his primary focus, and has an insane amount of influence/money to get people to do what he wants.

Vivie has yet to show any of these talents and there is a pretty good chance she might actually mentally break from all of this if she is not careful.

For what it’s worth, Brandon Rogers is helping a lot on writing duties, to the point HB is almost like a Brandon Rogers coproduction. And then there’s the fact that she is teaming up with different studios to help with the workload.

But we still haven’t seen all that in action; all we can do is wait and hope it doesn’t crash and burn horrifically. Viv at least as me impressed with the work ethic so hoping for the best.

Yeah Brandon seems to be doing a bunch it's probably him running the storylines of the blitz and co instagram and livestreams.

TDS aside, giving credit when it's due to Vivzie for getting yet another studio to get her crazy toons made. :drink: But for God's sake stop using Parry Gripp. The grossly peppy songs he makes for her are just junk.

I meant more like if they just auditioned for the parts like everyone else or if she actively sought these people out for the roles.

My money is on the latter than the former. When you've been voice acting as long as those guys have people will come to you more than you go to them. The fact they agreed to it means they either needed the money or had an open spot in their schedules and thought "ah what the hell".

bitch please if people like Ayn rand and books like Twilight garnering a fanbase didn't tell you that any-fucking-thing can have fans, nothing will. It also means you've run out of excuses to complain and be lazy like @Private Pyle said. Make your project happen or piss off.

Add Genndy Tartakovsky to the list (maybe Richard Williams? probably not, TatC took 30 fucking years). Between three Hotel Transylvania movies, he worked on Samurai Jack's final season, two movies now cancelled (though popeye came back he still wasted time on development) and was developing one whole new show (Primal). All for the same reasons you listed for McFarlane. Giving Vivzie the benefit of the doubt is fair. But anything can happen. Let's just hope it's funny. 🚬

The question is whether her creativity gets better or worse if she goes completely batshit insane. She might actually get better if she lost her mind.

Feel like I've heard a lot of voice actors have setups at home for doing their recording, so wouldn't take a ton of effort to fit in some jobs.

Anyway as far as the production/writing I'd guess Vivie will be fine as it doesn't look like she's taking on more than she can chew. She has that other guy that is focusing on most of the joke writing, is working with that animation company that can help with storyborading and so on, while she focuses on the general designs and base 'story' for the show.

Whoa butthurt fan detected.
I was going for blunt honesty to trigger inspiration like Shia LaBeouf's JUST DO IT. Oh well.

By the way if anyone wants spooky shit with HH and HB on it, today's the last day to get what's left. And more Helluva Boss will premiere before the month ends.

I'm gonna fully expect the Hazbin Hotel tv series to lose all the 2005 Deviantart mallgoth vibe of the current stuff so that I can be pleasantly surprised if Vivziepop's pandering and the industry's standards for shit animation both manage to not leak into the content of the show.

Hazbin at least is the polar opposite of garbage like SyFy's new "magical girl" adult animated sitcom, no annoying irony and qualms about being 'cringey'. Of course it'll be unbearable if you don't like the aforementioned 2005 Deviantart aesthetic but while it's not something I'm normally into, I respect how much it embraces what it is.

I easily understand not caring for HH, I know lots of people hated the Deviantart goth kddie stuff back then too, but I find it's charming and the technical execution is strong. I want kids to go back to liking stuff like that instead of trying to be lowcaps irony bros all the time, which is in part why we have so many "new" animated series that besides being poorly animated, their "humor" can be summed up as drenched in cheap irony and self-referential self-deprecatory humor "ha ha, we sure do suck, areweright, viewers? :winks:"

As for on the political front, I feel like this Mz. Vivienne is trying to go the Anthony FagFantano route where she’s always been left-leaning but is now going out of her way to really, really, overcompensate for how much dumb people online kept calling her a racist over the most really stupid trivial shit, but she needs to tamp it down just a tad, maybe before it goes out of control.

When I first saw Hazbin Hotel I had already known about it through teasers and word-of-mouth, and despite the flaws that have already been mentioned I really liked it. The edgy goffik 2000s DeviantArt-style is a big guilty pleasure of mine, so seeing a show animated with the amount of skill put in the pilot was a treat.

Then the Pizza Party Podcast episode dropped with Vivzie and I was surprised by how professional and determined she was in making her dream show, though being given the run around by someone who’s just using you is a big smack to the face.

After that Helluva Boss dropped which I think is the better of the two pilots and is more suited to the current animation landscape. Everything was looking great until I checked her Twitter. Vivzie seems like a good person until it comes to politics, then she’s a hypocrite. Which is unfortunately how things seem to be on Twitter regarding the animation industry.

And now the Zoophobia short dropped and I wasn’t sad, just disappointed. It was nice to look at, but the plot was meandering High School Musical melodrama. I even liked the character designs but the personalities attached to them are very cliche. I believe Viv is in a situation where she wants to make sure her old OCs don’t go to waste but has no idea on how to keep them relevant. I just hope that she keeps focusing her efforts on the “Hell shows“ because those are the ones with the most potential.

I totally agree. I have great respect for Vivzie's work ethic and creative talents, and I am very eager to see where her shows go next (ZooPhobia was pretty dodgy, but I digress). Her political opinions, while not entirely unexpected from someone of her ilk, have a curious tendency to rub me the wrong way compared to those of her kin. Perhaps it's her support for the "woke" crowd, while also being one of the most politically-incorrect artists in the animation scene. Staying away from her personal Twitter and just sticking to the official accounts for her shows has been a lot easier on my treks in the nightmare world that is Twitter. As is the case with all discussions on politics and social issues, I think that talking, debating, or even just spending time with people with different views will be good for her. None of us can ever hope to advance or improve ourselves without having that willingness to have our views scrutinized, challenged, and possibly changed in the fields of discourse. Vivzie has the makings of greatness in her; She just has to make that first step.

Besides, I'll take "edgy goffik 2000's DeviantArt-style" over "Cal Arts marshmallow-proportioned bean mouth" any day of the week.

Just give it time, they'll turn on her viciously. Actually they already more or less have which makes her trying to cozy up to these idiots all the more foolish.

Like, why bother trying to appeal to this group when they are one hundred percent against any form of creativity in favor of 'BIPOC Teenage Lesbian Mary Sues Have Magic Powers And No Personalities Part 479'?
My theory is that she's afraid one of them will try to ruin her show and garner some retards to bandwagon it.

She's kinda like a keyboard commando in a way
