Plenty of people take positions, and do things, that they later recognize was cringe.

I have been guilty of this too.

Jim would be super gay if he quintupled down on all the shit he has instead backed off on. I personally have more respect for people who distance themselves from something they come to believe has gotten cringe. The ability to reassess anything is a healthy character trait.

Dax's reaction to how the simpiracy was sold is what exposed his vulnerabilities and habits that have fucked him up ever since. It was the first time where he couldn't keep everybody on his side and where PodAwful's criticisms of his character and PPP's criticism of his character was out there for viewing by a large audience, and Dax couldn't handle it. It showed what an all-or-nothing guy he was for the first time and he's only gotten worse since then.

I fully agree with this. It was the first real glimpse we got that Dax can give it, but not really take it. Which is a bad sign in this community. He's getting worse too. Dax blocked @#KillAllPedos immediately when he tweeted his latest video at Dax.

My point here is that the actual underlining thing with JLH, and the NP2 stuff, was really quite dumb. Jim wasn't wrong to laugh at Leopirate's stupidity. I would have too.

Dax handled it in the worst possible way.

He must really be needing the money since he could have dropped this name and started again in his usual style.
Perhaps he is like a lizzard, he needs to shred his skin to stay healthy. Being a proper e-celeb with a perma identity is simply not fitting for his style that depends on burts of productivity. It's a pity that the youtube bucks chained him to a thing he doesn't seem to enjoy that much.

This whole thing is just so curious to me. Someone who went out of their way to never say anything personal about themselves aside from their manga and video games and liking Karkov and cigarettes, all of the sudden is giving step by step super personal medical information. And those saying he's turned into Spoony ie taking money for no content, he is Spoony in more ways than one. A ton of medical issues, complaining about doctors, no one can figure out what's wrong with him, etc. There are a lot of parallels.
