I'm coming the the realization the internet was a double edged sword. While it makes a lot of information easily accessible, it is a great brainwashing mechanism.

I think most of the problems of today are rooted in the education system. It's mainly built around learning trivial facts, and being able to regurgitate them in a bureaucratic fashion, in addition to doing route skills like basic math and reading. The education system barely takes time to teach you how to think and reason. This maybe by design.

A lot of people mistake the basic essay writing system taught in higher education not only for quality writing (forget everything your English teacher taught you) and actual truth finding. They never question who checks the fact checkers, because as far as the teacher or professor is concerned so long as it came from a hardcover book and isn't too ludicrous for their tastes, it's good enough; and people mistake that as quality research.

Conservatives and right wingers have been forced to fact check the fact checkers, if only to preserve their world view. Leftist and liberals have the luxury of not ever feeling the need to fact check the fact checkers, since it constantly reaffirms their worldview; leading to intellectual laziness mistaken as intellectual might.

Its why bit by bit Im just trying to escape society. Its just to far gone down mad road. Just prepping what I can and hope to ride out whatever catastrophic event is needed to reset everything back to sanity.

It wouldn't even go to the basic operation of Wikipedia, but rather the Wikimedia slush fund. Wikipedia itself could be hosted for a couple million a year in bandwidth and basic IT upkeep, yet somehow it's now a sprawling leviathan with $165 million in assets, $90 million in annual expenses, and $118 million in annual revenue. Anyone who falls for one of those Jimmy Wales guilt ads is a sucker, Wikipedia doesn't need money in the slightest.

I think the big scandle is going to connect Biden with China and the release of the ChinkChu Flu. I think that would top anything else that could come from this scandal. Other than Biden being revealed to be a true and honest reptilian. Hell its 2020 maybe both of them will be revealed to be reptilians at this point, and Hillary is actually proven to be *gasp* human.

This is nothing new. FDR whooped it up with his mistress in the WH.
