There were a few abortive America First-brand candidates like Pete D'Abrosca that got locked out by the party (with D'Abrosca, they ratfucked his voter registration). None of them do shit, because if they did those organizations would kick them out.

What makes Nick really feel important though is probably his connections to people like Malkin, Milo and Bannon, who at times got pretty close to corridors of real power.
