Chris Pratt doesn't like his personal life aired out in public. Hell, he went through a hard time when his divorce was leaked a few years ago and just wanted to focus on his family. Dont let your children into the entertainment industry. It rots their brain. She was like, 16 or something like that when she debuted and she grew up in at least a somewhat religious household. She either held fast to her beliefs or at least kept politics out of her image near the beginning. I had a high school friend who loved her music in high school (back when she was still writing angsty teenage break up songs) but that friend now proclaims to be a socialist and I really don't talk to her much (socialist thing came about after our friendship ended but the thing about small towns is that church ladies gossip and everyone knows each other).

1. Candy/sweets are a luxury and I would not be shocked if a lot of lefties grew up with parents that were stingy on giving them candy, ice cream, milkshakes, etc on demand. Especially if they grew up in a school or household with someone with a peanute allergy (meaning that a lot of candy was forbidden due to it having peanut butter/peanuts).

Besides, Gargoyles is already quite progressive as it is. We have a kickass BIPOC chick as one of the main characters in Elisa, a gay gargoyle in Lexington, and a fairly rich and well-researched world that deals with varied cultures such as African legends, Sumerian gods, Jewish folk tales and Irish mythology. And non-preachy episodes about the importance of preserving nature, proper gun safety, letting go of your past and remembering one's heritage.

God, sorry for the spergout, but it's one of my fave cartoons ever, and I'd hate it to see rebooted with "modern sensibilities" in mind. Last I heard, Jordan Peele was interested in doing a reboot. He-Man is one of the few cases where the target audience completely rejected the woke.

They tried with She-Ra. The Tumblr crowd absolutely ate it up, but the people actually buying the heavily-nostalgic merchandise couldn’t have even possibly cared less.

Now they’re right back with a huge push to bring back the original because they actually understand who’s buying their products.

As for Animaniacs, back then they used to joke about all sides, but that’s just unacceptable these days, apparently. It’s also basically confirmed that the show’s only going to be about the Warners and the mice this time around, with all of the other great shorts completely gone.

I was never going to watch it anyway, but I saw the confirmation they cut down the cast of Animaniacs to just the main three and Pinky and the Brain, so my mind was already made up before this post.

It's sad how the show used to actually be satirical of politics and (most of) the government while also still remaining respectful to the country's history, but it was pre-9/11. Entertainment as a whole changed after the towers fell and has only gotten worse.
